COVID-19 outbreak after Ont. basketball tournament, nearly 7,000 told to get tested ‘immediately’

"Get tested as soon as possible."

That's the message from health officials in Durham Region to anyone who attended a basketball tournament in Oshawa, Ont. earlier in the month.

An outbreak was declared, with at least 20 positive cases being linked to the event.

It was attended by teams from all over Ontario and across the country — meaning that potentially 7,000 people need to get tested for COVID-19.

  1. No mention of vahked status? They all must have been fully convinced 😉 Otherwise the outbreak would have been blamed on the unvahked…

    1. No… because single events don’t show the full picture, you have to look at the entire country or the entire province to determine that… and that, 80% of covid cases are among the unvaccinated in Ontario.
