The March 2021 jobs report showed the U.S. economy added 916,000 payrolls last month, the best monthly print since August
Nearly two-thirds of the gain in leisure and hospitality was in food services and drinking places, which added 176,000 jobs last month.
April, with nonfarm payrolls increasing by a much less than expected 266,000.
The January employment level left the economy with 2,981,000 fewer jobs than when President Trump took office. This makes him the first president to leave office with a loss of jobs since Herbert Hoover.
