I’m old enough to remember that Republicans have only won the popular vote in a presidential election once since 1988 and that was Bush after 9/11. There’s fluctuations, yes, but the Republican Party has been on a long downtrend. We’ll see what happens. Just please don’t storm the Capitol if the next Republican candidate loses the presidential election and I’ll promise not to do the same if the Democrat loses 😛
