Chauvin's Former Supervisor Testified To When Restraint Should End | Morning Joe | MSNBC
If I was terminally ill and was shot by Derek Chauvin, his same lawyers would say my terminal illness was the cause of death
@Terry Fulds I’M ON CAMERA BEFORE MY DEATH WITH SPEEDBALLS IN MY MOUTH. 🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿
@FENTENAYL FLOYD Haha silly troll, haven’t you heard of the concept of the foil? I was talking to chat using your ignorant comment. No normally functional human would expect sense from a debased unit such as you. Again, not really talking to you.
What about sons of confederacy
Wrong. You’re death would be attributed to covid
@FENTENAYL FLOYD
In February 2015, Chauvin tried to restrain a man by putting pressure on his lingual artery, which is below the chin bone, prosecutors wrote.
Chauvin pushed the man against a wall and applied a neck restraint.
Once the man was face-down on the ground, Chauvin handcuffed him and kept him there until backup arrived.
In April 2016, Chauvin restrained a man who would not follow instructions, placing his hands around the man’s neck and applying pressure to both sides, according to prosecutors.
In September 2017, Chauvin responded to a domestic assault call with another officer and tried to arrest a 14-year-old boy.
When the boy resisted, Chauvin applied a neck restraint and rolled him onto his stomach.
Chauvin stayed in the same position, his body pinning the boy to the floor, “beyond the point when such force was needed under the circumstances,” prosecutors wrote.
In March 2019, Chauvin told a man to move away from a person reporting a stolen vehicle to him and another officer. When the man refused, Chauvin walked over and grabbed him. The man pulled away, “flailing his arms and struggling with the other officer,” prosecutors wrote. Chauvin sprayed Mace at the man’s face.
The other officer told the man to lie on the ground, but he kneeled instead. Chauvin applied a neck restraint, forced him to the ground and sat on the man’s back, pinning him so he could be handcuffed.
“Chauvin restrained the male in this position beyond the point when such force was needed or reasonable under the circumstances,” the prosecution argued.
In July 2019, Chauvin and another officer responded to a domestic assault. When the male suspect dropped his arms to his side, Chauvin grew concerned about his access to knives, prosecutors wrote. Chauvin grabbed one of the man’s arms and kicked his lower midsection to back the man away.
Because Chauvin thought the man had tensed up, prosecutors wrote, he applied a neck restraint. The man made a brief snoring noise that indicated he had gone unconscious, and Chauvin handcuffed him.
“Chauvin operates in disregard for the particular circumstances of a given situation in determining appropriate reasonable force and simply fully restrains the suspect with no regard for their well-being until he can turn them over to someone else.”
Basically, the Chauvin defense is “yes, I pushed him off a 40 story building but the ground caused his death”.
@A J Exactly! No Narcan for knee on neck is there.
@Roger Carpenter Well, when my abusive ex was choking me out I was able to muster I can’t breathe and attempting to pull his arm away before blacking out. I uttered it at least twice before the tunnel vision rolled in.
@Binova Gurung I was saying the same thing in fact a lot of these racist don’t know there was three autopsies the very first one said the fact that they found the drugs in his system but come to find out they lied about that so they did another autopsy and come to find out he had no drugs in his system so George Floyd’s family ended up hiring a private investigator to do a third autopsy which came back as the results from the second one that there was no drugs in his system and it was ruled a homicide and it was fact-checked he did not die from an OD and he did not have drugs in his system
@Thomas Armsworthy Jr
Yell until the same bs happens to someone in your family.
@Roger Carpenter And when he quits talking he must be dead from lack of air. Suppose your last words were your last exhale.
The only reason Mr. Floyd struggled at all was due to being choked to death and unable to breathe. Physically struggling to get out from under whatever is choking you is 100% natural for survival when dying.
@FENTENAYL FLOYD Shame on you for trying to justify his death because he is one of millions of Americans in the opioid epidemic. Take away Chauvin’s knee, and Floyd would be among us today. Shame shame shame on you for spouting such a cheap scapegoat. Disgusting.
@FENTENAYL FLOYD Maybe not, but the autopsy is and it states the manor of death was homicide not overdose.
Great point I bought out TY
@Black QueenSIS, JUST NOT TRUE!! WATCH THE TRIAL AND U WILL SEE DIFFERENTLY
@FENTENAYL FLOYD Its sad that you made an account based around a man who died a horrible death. On top of that you take the time out of your day to defend this cop when even the witnesses and experts in this case all side against the cop. I would highly suggest talking to somebody if you think making an account named “Fentenayl Floyd” is remotely human or okay for that matter.
“We have the bloody knife with your finger prints, blood found in your car, video evidence of you loading up the body, and 7 eye whiteness”
Defense: “Well you see that person had diabetes and would have eventually died from diabetic shock anyways, therefor my client is innocent”
@zammmerjammer
He’s been all over every thread with his BS. I just don’t understand nor do I want to understand why people feel the need to be so ugly and disrespectful. Thanks for calling him out!!!
@Adam Langton he is probably a high school drop out and blames illegals, he can’t get a construction job lol 😅
@FENTENAYL FLOYD but that is completely irrelevant, those cases did not cause George’s death
@Thomas Armsworthy Jr you’re the kind of person that might need Jesus one day. You’re ignorance speaks for itself.
@FENTENAYL FLOYD Trump lost the election, get over it
Can we just plug in their chairs already? Because if the officers’ best defense is “he would have died anyway” then they’re already screwed.
I overdosed…. Absolute fact. 🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿
@FENTENAYL FLOYD could you please get a life and stop commenting your theories as facts? you are making fun of a dead person, and that says a lot of things from you. I hope that hunts your afterlife
And since your life seems so miserable right now that all you do is comment on behalf of a someone who died, I really hope you keep being as miserable as you are now, cause you know you are.
A person happy with their own life would never do something like this, and that is a fact. Unless you’re a psycho which would explain a lot
@sebas gutierrez this person is clearly inhumane. They lack empathy and probably are sociopaths. Their lives are meaningless, thus them trolling in such a way. At least you have a soul and empathy. Hold on to your humanity, let people like them poison themselves.
If u got cuffs on the man.. he is not going no where but it was his choice to stay on top of him
His hands were cuffed. Not his feet.
@Truth Be Told now go watch all the times people laying face down got away from officers. He was HUGE! And high.
@Censored User Derek Chauvin is not hired to be an executioner
@Truth Be Told His chest wasn’t able to rise and fall due to him lying on his stomach with a knée in his back or neck Chavin knew he was killing this man
He could have even let up for a minute so Floyd could breathe but we saw he in not human!
From hearing from the supervisor that Chauvin and his accomplice thugs in uniform have deviated or ignored procedures they should have been aware of multiple times, seems like criminal negligence would also be applicable here.
They said he “was on something” meaning they knew before ever putting him in a choke hold that he had a preexisting condition, so this murder is premeditated and should be a first degree murder trial.
@Xph Aku he was on something. He was on the pavement. Chauvin’s knee was on something. It was Floyd’s neck. Chauvin was also on something. It’s called a power trip. The four cops were all on something. It was called a mission to murder this black man for the crime of being black and at large.
@SK Dad I’m still pretty sure murder 1 should be on the table. Upgrading the whole thing into a hate crime to this should also be on the table.
It turned into murder and passed the manslaughter phase once Chavin kept his knee on George neck after the code 3 was called in.
My biggest fear for years has been being in custody, having a severe asthma attack, and not being allowed to do anything about it. That statement about how ‘if he can talk, he can breathe’ is hogwash. When I had breathing problems, I could talk, but my speech pattern was ‘choppy’, just like Floyd’s was. In addition, on one of the body cams, you can hear an officer ask if they should roll him (on his side). Then Chauvin answers no. It’s protocol to prevent positional asphyxia. They have a duty to see to the wellbeing of their prisoners irregardless of other circumstances.
@tanya clayton Sad pathetic excuse of a human you’re arguing with there.
@FENTENAYL FLOYD knee on the neck has been banned even before the george floyd but acording to you its his fault that the police choked him to death cuz over aleged “20 fake dolar bill”
SO FKG DISTURBING AND ULTRA SAD! SICKENING! SO MANY HURT FOR THIS MAN! BLESS HIS HEART.
Drug addiction and medical history aside. You simply have to ask, would he have died anyway if the officer wasn’t on his neck? No… he would not have died without that knee.
Thank you end of story.
The lethal dose of fentanyl could’ve killed him.
@Sue Zbell he said I cant breath as he sat in the back of the squad car too.
@Jerrod Newsome I’m sure without the knee in his throat for 9 minutes the lethal dose of drugs would have killed him. That’s your claim?
@Sue Zbell He was saying he couldn’t breathe when he was standing on the sidewalk outside the car…yet continued to physically resist and talk clearly. People who can’t breathe can get a word or two out, but they can’t yell, carry on, and fight off two male officers for several minutes. He cried wolf so many times that the cops disregarded his cries when, in fact, he truly could not breathe. Despite all that, Chauvin should have gotten off his neck much much sooner
The prosecutors should have the room silence for 9 minutes and 29 seconds no matter what. Those’ll be the longest minutes of their lives; and then, ” imagine a knee in your neck”.
@Black Queen so let me get this straight, you’re just going to spam the comment section making sure we all remember that he likely died from the drugs in his system and refuse to use your critical reasoning skills and science to acknowledge that he probably wouldn’t have died if they had given him medical attention the moment that he became unresponsive instead of continuing to hold him down as he officially passed away. You hate drug users [ah, nvm, you are just a racist troll] that much that you refuse to see them as human beings?? You lick boots so hard you can’t acknowledge they too are human and make terrible choices at times?? 🙄🖕🏻
That should be in their closing arguments, great point.
Exactly. That will make them think.
Pre-existing conditions do not excuse murder. Those defending Chauvin have no shame.
He is right. The defense team is only doing their job and he could have kept the “liberal” bull$)&@ to himself. This isn’t political.
Please tell me you are not referring to blacks. And if you are, then you are less of a human being for thinking such. Your momma must be proud.
@Carolyn Carter why would you think I was referring to blacks, when you read OP? smarten up.
@Adrian Shebeika not his defense team, but all these conservatives coming out showing their true colors
It’s nice to see so many people joined in this conversation. I think this is a much better way to handle things than starting a war over it.
That Supervisor’s comment about “When Mr. Floyd was no longer offering up any resistance to the officers, they could have ended their restraint.” That debunks chavin’s and the defense’s argument that “He did what he was trained to do.” That should convict him of all charges!!!!
Remember my mama TESTIFYING that I overdosed in March of 2020 from the same drugs with the same symptoms? 🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿
@FENTENAYL FLOYD So? You can overdose and still be killed by an officer. In fact, your argument puts more blame on the officers not less. They should have known better than to use such draconian tactic on a junky, they should have known that if they used a knee to the neck he would be more likely to die. So your argument is moot and further implicates the police for second and third degree murder. Stop being a racist numbskull and actually think before you speak.
@Xph Aku
Excellent points!!!
@E.B. G You know who else was addicted to pain pills……Brett Favre. If an officer did the same thing to him would you be bringing up this same argument?
@FENTENAYL FLOYD BUT DID NOT DIE IN MARCH from that alone — the knee on the neck and no prompt medical made care the difference?
“There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always— do not forget this, Winston— always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless.
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face— forever. ”
― George Orwell, 1984
A Tribute in Memory of Mr. George Floyd
Don’t close the door please let the light shine in.
Whispering sounds that echo off the walls.
Straps laced too tightly no room for me to move.
A blinding glance confuses me.
Words can’t express the pain of false bravado.
Piercing stares from the tormented few.
All sides suffering
Can’t take this life no more.
Nothing to chance for a man to break free.
I only need one eye to be open.
One ear to listen to what I’m trying to say.
Just take a moment to come inside and stand with me.
Everyday’s a nightmare
I need someone to come save me.
As I lay distressed pleading please help me mama.
I see no beacon my life’s growing dim.
Robbed of tomorrow can’t help those who were chosen.
It’s up to you where we go from here.
If I could rise I’d speak up for my freedom with every breath I take that God has given me.
Come take a chance and take a stand in harmony.
There will be no tomorrow if we don’t unite to be free.
The violence that follows will only fuel their hate.
Take the path that carries your voice of change.
Let’s lay to rest and and put an end to this shame.
Be the hope your children need you to be.
If I could rise I’d speak up for my freedom with every breath I take that God has given me.
Come take a chance and take a stand in harmony.
Everyday’s a nightmare I need someone to come stand for me.
There will be no tomorrow if we don’t unite to be free.
Rest in Peace Mr. George Floyd

Wow… your poem brought tears in my eyes sir. You should publish it.
@Jean Rive Ndjembi
Thank you so much. Words easily composed when originated from heart.
Beautiful. No one deserves this type of ending.
HOW KIND OF YOU FOR MR. FLOYD. HEARTBREAKINGLY DISTURBING AND FOREVER UPSETTING!
@Helen Pierce-Lamoureux
Thank you so much 💓
😥 events rampant for decades
It was obvious to the Police Sgt Supervisor, the dispatch officer, the Firefighter first responder and anyone who saw the video what they were witnessing. Guilty as charged.
The whole world saw this murder take place.
It’s funny how the judge allowed George Floyd’s past relating to his drug addiction but Derick Chavin’s complaintS and previous tactic of a 14 yr old cannot be allowed. George was doing just fine until that man put his knee on his neck!
@JCA421 it’s a white person pretending to be black, ignore that simpleton.
@Black Queen you’re probably a troll. Account created March 7th, 2021.
Be careful what you put out, it has a way of coming back to you in greater quantity.
Choose love instead of hate.
Chauvini and his wife face tax fraud, which was revealed after he murdered Mr. Floyd.
i THINK YOU’RE VERY RIGHT! THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED IN COURT! NOTHING IN ANY OF THE DYNAMICS OF THE INCIDENT SHOULD THAT HAVE BEEN MENTIONED! THEY WERE NOT CALLED BC OF HIS BEHAVIOR NO BEHAVIORS OF ANYONE OF THE INCIDENT were caused by drugs…it was a POSSIBLE fake bill, HE CO OPERATED FROM THE BEGINNING. I think the prosecution shld HAVE THAT THROWN OUT OF COURT!!!!! “I CAN’T BREATHE’ AND THE CUSTODIAL OFFICER DID NOTHING BUT MAKE THE SITUATION WORSE IS THE FOCUS/POINT! PERIOD!
The judge is blatantly showing bias, and a laser focus is now on the court – and Chauvin’s murder in view of multiple videos. We do believe what we see with our eyes.
Call this what it is
This was not a killing

The moment Chauvin took Georges arm, he thought you are à dead man bro
@carolle charles O and knee on his neck for 9 and a half minutes. Even the other officer said he should have been off him after he had restraint. Yea he murdered him. None of that matters what you just said.
@FENTENAYL FLOYD oh look a mad kid 🤦👁👄👁go to bed now son nobody cares about you
Chauvin was like a hunter with his prey. Hands on his hips and proud of his conquest.
The other officers should go to prison too for not stopping this madman before he murdered George Floyd!
Very well said
The female cop advising Derek be to keep his knee on Floyd’s neck should be charged and conviçted also.
Shoot, to me, it looks like the other officers were conspired in committing murder.
Gen Pop
IT SIMPLY LITERALLY SICKENED ME TO MY STOMACH WHEN CHAUVIN MADE THAT FKG FACE OF EVIL SATISFACTION WHEN HE WIGGLED AND PRESSED HIS KNEE EVEN HARDER ON MR. FLOYD! SICKENING. MADDENING! ENRAGING! BLESS YOU MR. FLOYD. I’M SO, SO, SO SORRY!
The far right defend him, yet even Chauvin’s boss said they shouldn’t have done that
If there’s anything good to come out of this, it’s the fact that George Floyd’s death is shining a bright light on police brutality, especially against people of color.
Girl where have you been !
+0+
THE MILLIONS OF SAD, BRUTAL, TORTUROUS, TERRIFYING EXPERIENCES FOR THIS GROUP OF OUR HUMANITY HAVE LIVED! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!!!!!! SENSELESS!!!!
No disrespect, but you can’t be black. Police brutality against blacks have been going on since the beginning of time and it will never end. This case will do absolutely nothing.
