If you saw someone breaking into cvs and stealing wouldn’t you call the police or try and stop them. Thankfully we know better now. @Brian Jones Yes you can. There were people against slavery since inception of this country. How do you think slavery even ended if there was no wide movement to end it? That’s acknowledging it was horrible. Even people like Robert E Lee, though he still fought for it, opposed slavery. But then again I don’t think you’re arguing in good faith considering you’re pushing the tired ‘states rights’ argument even though a confederate leader listed slavery as the main reason in the cornerstone speech and every state that seceded listed slavery as a reason in their announcement.

One of the coolest experiences of my life was interviewing Eldridge Cleaver, early Black Panther leader, for my high school newspaper back in the mid 80’s. Me, little white girl, surrounded by big media reporters. I was so naive, and he was so kind.
