Yep. It was not a good day. Furthermore, he had federal officers fire tear gas and rubber bullets so he could walk across the street for the photo op. Said officers also physically assaulted international journalists, among others, with extreme brutality.

— I know. I didn’t watch much of the second impeachment (second, can you imagine?) but I thought they’d make a bigger deal out of the gallows.
@bearly traincot right, that’s the one part that they cannot deny what they intentions it seem like to me that this second impeachment was just a bunch of political theater. I think the Democrats was just trying to get the facts on record for future references not so to actually impeach Trump, I feel like it was a bad move. They basically bent to what the Republicans wanted. It wouldn’t be so bad if they would have just called the Republicans out on the BS in real time instead of letting it ride, now you got half of the country thinking that they actually made good points but all they were doing was lying the whole time basically unchallenged. It’s like the whole thing hinged on the fact that Trump was not president during the second impeachment but remember Mitch McConnell is the one who scheduled the impeachment after the 20th for the sole purpose of having that argument. something that I have noticed over the past 16 years or so being into politics, it’s that when Democrats do a speech or making a point about something that is universal to both parties the Republicans would come along right after to make their speech and instead of making their own points they’re too busy trying to chop the Democrats down and that’s it that’s their game. Every time. Never any good ideas unless it benefits them all it is just, underminded Democrats, underminded Democrats that’s it.

I tend to believe that it wasn’t just for Mike Pence but it was also for anybody who wasn’t a Trump supporter or anybody who they deemed as their enemy!
