Dear lord 🙏…BLESSINGS.
Unbelievable
Deeply disheartening. Much love to the family and to the friends of the little one. I cannot speak for the corner where this hit and run happened. What I can share of is that I live right beside a high school. And, our neighbourhood is filled with new families with very young children. Not a day goes by where drivers are not speeding through stop signs nor tailgating. It is a “miracle” that our community has yet to lose a child due to what happens to some owners of cars, which is that their brains revert to harmful mode while behind the wheel. Sigh.
They fled their war-torn homeland to be safe. But a child meets her end under the wheels of a careless person in the new world. How very, very tragic! 💔
So very sad 😢🙏 for the family
This is horrible 😭
How terrible. The child only wanted to go to school.
We have too many impatient and reckless drivers on the road. We need to stop turning a blind eye to reckless drivers and start putting extra pressure on them. If we need to take away more streets from drivers; So be it!
Edmonton has mandatory 30 km/hr limit near school zones and parks. No reason why MTL cant do the same plus add large speed bumps
@Jonas Montreal has lower speed limits.
Absolutely heart wrenching !!! 💔
Certainly the driver is the main problem but I have to say that in every city I’ve lived in there is always an ongoing battle to lower speed limits by schools which for some reason takes municipal governments about a DECADE to resolve. I have no idea why that is. In one city I lived in the wealthy streats in the richer neighbourhoods all had speed bumps all through the residential streets to protect pedestrians. Certainly any elementary school should have speed bumps around them. But I can’t even imagine hitting a child and then driving off. Wow, that is messed up.
Господи, за что???!!!
What an absolute tragedy! Survive war to pass like this 😢can someone please explain to me – what happens to you if you hit a pedestrian by accident, stop, get help and take full accountability immediately? Do you still face charges? I’m confused as to why so many drivers “hit-and-run” (to the point there is a whole term for it), when they know they will be caught eventually in this era of technology! E.g in this case – what would have happened to driver if they had stopped and helped? Like why wouldn’t he stop?? 😢
Didn’t survive war, they fled war. Quite the difference.
@C Fyou can’t flee if you don’t survive.
To hit a child hard enough they die, then drive off takes a special type of person.
They should be buried under the prison.
so sorry for your loss… I hope they catch this driver
My deepest condolences to the family 😞
I hope they catch the driver and because he hit and ran put him away for many years. Heartbreaking that they escaped the war and a child is killed here.😪
WHAT KIND OF PERSON HITS ANYONE WITH A CAR——ESPECIALLY AN INNOCENT CHILD AND LEAVE????
CONDOLENCES TO THIS SWEET ANGELS PARENTS AND FAMILY!
TO THE DESPICABLE PERSON WHO HIT HER– —-THIS ISN’T ABOUT YOU!!!! IT’S ABOUT THE CHILD WHO’S LIFE YOU STOLE FROM HER FAMILY!! BE A DECENT PERSON FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE AND TURN YOURSELF IN—–NOW!!!!!
devastating.. may the Almighty ease her family’s pain🤲💔💔
Survive the war then this 😢 May she Rest In Peace ❤
In defence of drivers! Parents also need to teach children safety also! I’ve slammed on brakes many of times for kids blowing stop signs on bicycles or running between parked cars! But very sad at same time bless this family
Drive slower and look around ahead of time
