Wuhan streets described as ‘eerie.’ See what they look like now

The Wuhan coronavirus has left the streets of Wuhan, China, virtually empty. As the virus spreads to every part of China, CNN's David Culver speaks with an American college student in Shanghai who says finding food has gotten increasingly difficult. This is a re-upload of a previous video. #CNN #News

    1. Well possibly for part of the world it will be like the walking dead, however, the United States will be having SAD/SOG activate directive 51 and is going to make martial law look like a walk in the park. Most states will be turning into federal zones and SOG paramilitary special operation officers will be the ones controlling the show.

    1. where are you going? Not sure but i think i want to spread it to a country where there are no cases… maybe africa?!

    2. @Nikolai zazzoslki Are you trying to be sarcastic? More beauty, power, wonder and natural marvels in that continent than any other.

  1. WHO expressed concern for developing countries unprepared to handle the crisis–yet foreigners exposed to Coronavirus in China are being sent to Africa?!? WHO is a feckless organization.

    1. @Fleur Ciao Most transcontinental passengers are equipped with insurance. Not long ago my daughter was taken seriously ill in Johannesburg and received top notch medical treatment free of charge.

    2. @Valerie Mac Fair I wasn’t aware of that, private healthcare and doctors in S.A are excellent. I did speak to some of my friends earlier and they told me that people coming here might actually land in Africa. I have never been myself but according to some of my friends who migrated to S.A it’s not the best place to be when you need medical care. I am aware that they have had to deal with some virus outbreaks like Ebola which we have no experience of so maybe they have an advantage. But I’m sure if it’s foreigners coming here just to get out of Wuhan, once here they will try and get back to their own countries asap.

    3. @Fleur Ciao Why keep stressing the word “private”, when their excellent health care is universal and uniformly outstanding in the British tradition of nursing etc. The world’s first heart transplant was performed by Christiaan Barnard in Cape Town. The country in general is on a par with any, although since post Mandela things have gone administratively downhill, but their medical reputation is sterling. Apartheid has been abolished but at a price, better this way for most, than the fascist regime before. As for the much publicised scare of the moment, these tend to break out periodically from time to time, cause a momentary sensation, then are soon forgotten. The worst epidemic currently in South Africa is AIDS.

  2. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy is she taking her contagion behind to Africa? Just like the Smallpox blankets. They trying to kill us!

  3. Africa is the only continent that has not been affected by the corona virus and she’s now going to Africa? SMH

    1. @ishtar0077 not control but influence and its affecting China more than its affecting the respective countries, hence they since the first trade with America cux they need it. 😉, life always prevails trust that

    1. Just came back from a business trip in Nanyang, it’s not in Hubei province but pretty close, i’ve been sneezing and caughing like a maniac, should I see a doctor? I didn’t eat any bats, maybe it’s just the flu?

    2. @Carlton Harris because the virus has mutated into a new form. It’s like when the flu virus mutates they have to make a new immunization for it because the old ones aren’t effective against the mutated form.

  4. Economics should never be a consideration in a decision like this. Remember Jaws? Don’t close the beach.

    1. Unfortunately economics is extremely important. If people can’t work, they don’t have money to buy food, water, and essential supplies. If food isn’t grown, then there is no food to be bought. At this point in time economics is just as important as the virus. Malnutrition combined with an infectious virus is a recipe for disaster.

    1. @Lucky Charm I’m not a chicken little,I don’t believe that the sky is falling.but if you look at our history humanity is over due for an event..

    1. Geo Tech News you sound like a kid. If all the schools close, what about the adults? Should we close all businesses too?

    1. @Torago Flint You’re not. This isn’t even close to any kind of uncontrolled outbreak situation. It’s been blown up by hype, and there are tons more things we should be worried about, like how crazy the flu is this season and how many people are dying from it, but that’s just the flu, who cares, it’s not EXCITING!

    2. @BlownMacTruck I NEVER SAID ANYTHING I SAID IT LOOKS LIKE THE GODDAMN ATLANTA FROM THE WALKING FUCKING DEAD!!!!!!

    3. @BlownMacTruck flu kills thousands every year nothing new there. Most of it is due to not having good health care or the right resources to treat it. This strain of coronavirus, however, is a new one and their is no current vaccine. I also thought this coronavirus was being blown out of proportion but now I am starting to worry.

    1. @Velky Lev your absolutely not well informed, there are places in africa better than anything you have ever seen

  5. 2:40 seems like a scene in a bad zombie movie. I hope this is contained. This seems more serious than other outbreaks.

  6. The virus is more infectious, meaning it has more hosts, meaning more chances to mutate and become stronger

    1. First,Africa is not a country so she has to choose. If she is honest on her visa application, whatever country she chooses she will go into quarantine and isolation. With no friends and relatives and a first time visitor,it will not be a pleasant arrival.

  7. Health official: “we’re trying to quarantine the virus so it doesn’t spread to populations that don’t have access to quality medical care”

White lady: “I’m going to Africa!”
