  1. “Be as courageous as they were.” Truer words. Just think….. what if all of the Republican senators got courageous? There is power in numbers.

    1. @Peter Robertson Ok, I stand corrected. Let’s hope enough do what is just plain RIGHT (and I dont mean RIGHT WING, Lol) instead of worrying about political expediency

    1. In the 1850s, the debate over whether slavery should be extended into new Western territories split these political coalitions. Southern Democrats favored slavery in all territories, while their Northern counterparts thought each territory should decide for itself via popular referendum.

At the party’s national convention in 1860, Southern Democrats nominated John C. Breckinridge, while Northern Democrats backed Stephen Douglas. The split helped Abraham Lincoln, candidate of the newly formed Republican Party, to victory in the 1860 election, though he won only 40 percent of the popular vote.

    2. Bring back Mueller; reports of him slack-mouthed and dribbling in a home-for-the-bewildered are fake. In other news (according to people familiar with the matter) new evidence is emerging that Trump colluded with Queen Elizabeth during his State visit to the United Kingdom, leveraging a deep-fake film of prince Andrew, her favourite son. All thirty-five US intelligence agencies agree that the evidence is compelling. Thankfully, Saint Comey has taken to twitter to calm nerves.

    1. @Inge larson He represents half of the USA!
Also people that don’t care about reality or thinking probably voted for him.
I mean, those people make up the entire support base of the Republican party.
Yes, there was a study on this matter. Find it.

    1. @r dh the mere fact that republicans are so fixated on Hunter Biden is a screaming admission that this is not related to Ukrainian corruption in general and exclusively about Biden in November.

    2. @Wendell Wright i beleave they should just drug test that moran,,,would end this sht right dam now…who wants a druggie in office?!

    1. So you believe Biden’s hands are clean? You have seen the video where he told them they had 6 hours or NO money? Plus MORON that stuff was all over the news. He dug that hole himself. The Dems are only trying to make it look like Trump was cheating…LOL Really?

  2. I watched the whole trial today. Everything they presented was very clear to me. He was using the publics money and position of his office to solicit a foreign government to dig up information on a US citizen for his own gain. That is definitely abusing his position for personal gain. ( ABUSE OF POWER ) strike one. He refuses to release the transcripts and documents to the House. If the information in them would show he is not guilty, why wouldn’t he give them up? Classified information? It doesn’t have to go public, but our representatives, elected by us, Should know what’s going on. Just as the witnesses can be interviewed in private, away from the public to get to the truth and yet keep any national security issues safe. Mr. President, it’s time you prove your innocence!

Every day I see anything about Trump online or on TV, I see more and more corruption in play. I see more and more tearing down of this country I love. This is the most divided I have ever seen this country. I see the destruction of our political system, and it makes me wonder, is it time to get rid of the two party system? After all, they are not working for us, they are working for their party line. Am I watching the death of our democracy and this republic?

It’s amazing how watching MSNBC, and CNN how close to the truth everything has been reported. Granted, it has been Democratic led commentary, But matches what I have watched. I also checked out Fox news coverage, which is mostly Republican oriented, They completely ignore any of the testimony and call it a sham. One reporter even admitted to only catching about an hour of the testimony then had to leave. Great reporting! No facts to report! Ill-informed reporting by them. But worse yet, I heard a couple Republicans talk and they were just as bad. This is the peoples country and they work for us, at least they are supposed to. I don’t see it happening.

    1. @Richard PruettI never said “overwhelming evidence” The president is holding that most damning evidence, I said it is very clear to me. The definition of Abuse of power is “Abuse of power, in the form of “malfeasance in office” or “official misconduct,” is the commission of an unlawful act, done in an official capacity, which affects the performance of official duties. Malfeasance in office is often grounds for a for cause removal of an elected official by statute or recall election. Abuse of power can also mean a person using the power they have for their own personal gain.”
That last line is exactly what is being shown. Pressured not to give aide until he received dirt on his upcoming opponent to aid him to win the next election. That information would benefit him not the country and is of value to him and only him.

    2. @David Braun Then the Dem’s should have taken it to the judicial branch when they had control of the process in the house.

    3. Rod Gens, you’re not the only person on this thread. Jeremy Backup characterized the Democrats’ case as “overwhelming evidence,” and many leading Dems have said the same. And yet, here they are now demanding new witnesses to try to shore up their case.

You don’t know what “evidence” the president is holding, and he normally isn’t obligated to provide anything falling within the broad ambit of executive privilege, especially when it involves national security — especially to a Congressional body headed by an irresponsible liar and notorious for selectively leaking classified material. That’s for your own protection, whether you believe it or not.

Your argument is absurd. We have no evidence of malfeasance here. And the Ukrainians looking into the location of the Crowdstrike server, documented official Ukrainian interference in our 2016 election, and credible allegations of Ukraine-based corruption involving our then-Vice President are all very much in the U.S. national interest.

    1. Biden on record/recording bragging about his using his power to with hold funds unless Ukraine fired a prosecutor who was investigating his son’s company. Fact.

    2. K H, I dunno. You tell me. When and how have Jared and/or Ivanka been involved in corruption, bribery, or a corrupt quid pro quo? I don’t hold them to a different standard than I do Hunter Biden. So to what allegations against Jared and Ivanka are you alluding? Or is this simply your lame attempt at deflection by projecting your candidate’s sins onto others?

  3. I hope and even think the House managers will spend some time on Day 3 clearly outlining their process during the inquiry, with all supporting documentation.
This is because it’s very clear the only defense Trump’s lawyers are even attempting to mount is trying to attack the process of the inquiry (i.e. saying Trump didn’t have the chance to defend himself – false). It’s pretty obvious they can’t argue the actual facts of the case.
That way, the managers preemptively strike the only defense Trump has, right before his lawyers step in to try and make it. After that, Cipollone will be stuck saying “this is ridiculous” for 3 days, which should give Rand Paul ample time to complete his crossword puzzle.

  4. We will never hear any “evidence” from the WH because they would all lie and they would be joining their friends in prison! tRUMP HAS REPEATEDLY SAID he wanted a trial so he could testify but he NEVER WILL (remember he was releasing his taxes) and the republiKKKans would never allow him to do so. I firmly believe when tRUMP lies, he fully believes in his own “mind”, that he is telling the truth because he doesn’t’ t know the reality of telling the truth, he is a compulsive liar and has been his entire adult life that we know of!!! VOTE A BLUE TSUNAMI IN 2020 AND DRAIN THE WH CESS POOL AND LOCK THEM ALL UP!!!

  5. I have listened, I have watched, I have wondered,I have thoughts,I hope truthful people speak,I see,I hear,
I understand, I know when another is lying,I know Trump is lying,American knows Trump is lying,The World knows Trump is Lying,

  6. The Democrats should show that video of Trump bragging “honestly we have all the material, they don’t have the material”

  7. Listening from Canada Just know, Things come apart so easily when they have been held together with lies.
    Very compelling evidence.

  8. America would not” have mercy “on Obama or any other president. There is no mercy for Trump he’s a corrupt mob boss.

  9. “Don’t you wanna see the evidence? I know I do.” “Be as courageous” Those statements most definitely stood out to me. Go Adam Schiff and Mgmt!
