@Del His tax returns could highlight emolument issues, be compared to what he tells us about his economic prowess (all lies). Releasing tax returns is a protocol presidents have followed for many decades and he did promise to release them (another lie). I don’t understand why you think this is media diversion.
@newmove In my experience, the media never talks about what is important. They talk about the least important stuff but are very loud about it so you don’t notice what is important and what is really going on. The distraction if you will.
Like I said, it’s my opinion, and an opinion based on some relevant experience.
@Del The same applies to ALL media to greater and lesser degrees. Thing is that’s all we’ve got. I watch the interviews and read the comments and certainly pick up on the spin reporting them. In the case of dump, he said it, he promised it, it’s been protocol for many decades. In his case what he claims does NOT stack up to what I know about him and what other millionaires, billionaires and writers say about him. I wont support a liar, dem or repub so I too would like to see the facts (his tax returns)
@newmove I agree with the sentiment about how it’s all many of us have for information. The thing is, you have to go outside of your comfort zone, and use multiple sources. I dunno. After the Epstein cover-up it seems to me MSNBC should be more concerned about protecting women and children and less concerned with the US presidents taxes. Sadly it’s laser focused on things the majority of polls show the American people aren’t actually concerned with.
I know polls can’t be trusted, but if you collate the results of the bulk of polls you’ll see many US citizens just want to see the country improve and don’t care about impeaching the president or seeing his tax returns.
Sure there are swaths of people that likely do, but they are still a tiny, albeit vocal, minority.
Anyway, it’s late here and I have to be up in 3 hours.
