Uncertainty Over Witnesses As Republicans Whip Votes | MSNBC

As the impeachment trial continues, there is a sense of uncertainty over whether or not the Senate will vote to hear from witnesses, “This morning it appears that no one, not even Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, seems to know which way the vote on witnesses is going to go," Chuck Todd said. Aired on 01/29/20.

  1. No witnesses means no real trial! The world is watching the so called leading country of the free world, are you cheats and liars or do you seek the truth and justice above all else?!

    1. Earnest T Bass Bassy the low iq tool is back. As usual little Bassy you got nothing to add to the conversation

    2. Crystal Giddens laughable little Crystal is back again today. You think you would learn by now. Stupid is as stupid does little Crystal. Keep trying

    3. brian gardner laughable little BriBri is back again today with more of her incoherent ramblings. Laughable as always little BriBri. You would think you would learn by now. You just continue to prove what a useless tool you are. Funny how you never have any proof that they are wrong. God you are really a dumba$$

    1. Ford Bronco Yeah. Cause that’s gonna be SO relevant an an impeachment case. 👍 They need to bring him in to call the GOP’s bluff and get Bolton & Mulvaney. Then they can call OJ Simpson in if they want to. Who cares.

    2. Logan McLean 97% of Republicans isn’t the same today as it was 5 years ago. And, I’m gonna take a wild guess that 97% was made up in your head.

    3. @Booster Paine
Truth be told. You have absolutely no idea how much we Deplorables laugh you. You will NEVER EVER ‘get him’.
We love him and he has worked a series of miracles with the economy and foreign policy. Trump is your president. LOL

  2. “Some people not happy”…No …..1 out of every 4 people wouldnt be happy. Most people *would be happy* to have witnesses.

    1. If the democrats would of done their job in the house inquiry. And got witnesses by whatever means necessary even goin to court we wouldn’t be arguing bout having witnesses. They would have done their job. But they failed to complete their case before sending it to the senate.its that simple

    1. @De St
LOL… Awwwww, youre still running with Hillarys Russian collusion lie like a PlaySkool Ken&Barbie bouquet…
      **isnt that special**
Look at this moron proving hes a serpent traitor even against the facts that Mueller was Hillarys serpent mole for 30 yrs covering up her murders and corruption proving youare another serpent piece of feces

    2. @Yo-yos Tenbucks Hate Clinton (both) and didnt vote for her. Do you morons ever actually argue a point that you haven’t inserted into your opponent’s mouth?

    3. Booster Paine…the dems hypocrisy in this issue is that they only want to call the witnesses “they want only” and none of the witnesses republicans want, You republicans in the house asked for a list of witnesses, and Schiff abused his power and denied them of that.  As an independent minded. I ask any democrat do you really want to call ALL the witnesses.  I have a feeling dems do not want to do that, and this is a political show and dems would oppose any witness republicans would want to call.

    4. OMG! you mean there IS a FIRST hand witness who is willing to testify?!!
Time to scurry like roaches when the lights come on. OR republicans, you can stand up to the mobster in chief and take your medicine like grown ups.

  3. I feel like the GOP is on the edge of going “over the waterfall”. They just need one more thing to sway public opinion. You would think the constitution would be enough to make them do the right thing

    1. I don’t know about that. Did anyone see the Politico article yesterday by Burgess Everett entitled “Trio of Dem senators considering vote to acquit Trump.” It’s Senator Jones of Alabama, Manchin of West Virginia and Sinema of Arizona! Sinema is in a swing state and the other two are in red states, so it looks like they are more concerned over re election than party unity. Don’t forget, Manchin was the one Democrat who actually voted for Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh….. going against his own party!!!

    2. What is really crazy is 3 Democrats in the House voted against impeachment and one New Jersey Democrat, Jeff Van Drew, switched parties from Democrat to Republican over the impeachment.

    3. In addition to that, Tulsi Gabbard voted “present” on one of the articles of impeachment. Meaning her vote didn’t go in either the Democrat or Republican column….

    4. Although Democrat Senator Sinema of Arizona said she might acquit Trump, I don’t think she will. But I think Democratic Senator Manchin will vote to acquit…he voted for Justice Kavanaugh and tends to vote with Republicans.

  4. Not wanting truth, not wanting witnesses, this is how corrupt and broken the Senate is…why have senators if they cannot fulfill their oaths and seek truth on our behalf? Right or wrong…it is that simple…we look like a banana republic.

    1. no Bidens. They’ve been investigated and cleared, trump is just deflecting, like all weaklings, because he’s got NOTHING

  5. My fellow Americans this isn’t about politics anymore it’s a matter of patriotism come November let’s show the Republicans and the Russians just how patriotic we are.

    1. @ernest747 I don’t know about hamsters but he certainly likes his gerbils.. especially when they’re declawed

  6. If we don’t get witnesses and documents it’s not a trial is a cover-up 👎 republiCoNS will lose SENATE and PRESIDENCY 2020🌊🌀🌊🌀🌊

    1. The house did a rushed job. Incomplete. I’m just happy that textbooks in the future will tell of the democrats first failed impeachment, that’s history

    2. @Logan McLean The thing is he has already been impeached! This is about his removal from office! He will forever have an * by his name!

  7. Trump has a circle of goons,
who have the brains of loons,
and as they root in the trash,
    pawing for ill-gotten cash,
    they resemble tangerine raccoons.

  8. Gop: “we want a fair trial without evidence or witnesses.”

How stupid do these people think Americans are? Especially when everyone knows there is evidence out there.

    1. The House had every chance to take its time and subpoena Bolton, but they didn’t and that mistake is on them. It isn’t the job of the Senate to do the job of the House. The House rushed impeachment through. The Senate acts as jurors, it’s not their job to make the case. Tough! The House had its chance and blew it!

    2. By the way did anyone else read yesterday’s Politico article about Democrats Senima, Manchin and Jones saying they might vote to acquit Trump? The article is from Politico which is a reliable source. The article is by Democrat Burgess Everett and it’s entitled “Trio of Dem senators considering vote to acquit Trump.”
