    1. But Iran leadership is weak and evil. They have no power to give ‘serious consequences’. Iran is at the mercy of the west.

    2. @hines862009 What is that “leftist agenda”? Not wanting to put kids in cages? Giving everybody access to Healthcare? Not starting endless wars? Guaranteeing a living wage? Giving everybody the same opportunities for education? Not being totally and utterly racist and xenophobic?

    3. @Chop Smith proof please. I can spit also: Iran is the greatest superpower in the world, they secretly control everything and already own mars.

    1. @snoop alert idk Iran is mad because of sanctions and they were tryna sell oil even though they couldn’t because of sanctions and because of this the UK seized a ship of Iran and that caused Iran to try (and fail) to seize a ship. Now they tried again and succeeded

  1. none of this are reasons for war..there was an accident that has to be investigated for asset and insurance proposes..war to distract from trumps obvious failures and corruption..

    1. From an outsider looking in Trump has lit your economy up! Yes he’s rude but he seems like a Great president who gets things done!

  2. Does the UK even have a government? The USA does not have a unified government. It’s what happens when you are inept. The west is a diplomatic and military joke.

  3. Oh shut up, you should’ve thought about that before you went and seize an Iranian oil tanker.

    1. This “Iranian” ship boarded in UK territorial waters was neither registered or flagged to Iran. It’s crew is from India. It’s paperworks claims the cargo to be Iraqi oil even though Iraq had no such cooperating paperwork. It was by all rights a smuggling ship in EU waters attempting to violate EU sanctions.

    2. @Elijah Craig the people in almost every country are great and want to get along, it’s the government’s and corporations with agendas that scree things up for the rest.

  4. We did it first, at the behest of America. America wants it’s war and we’re the “vassal state” they’re going to use to get it. Tony Blair is considered a murderer for the people killed in his unjust American war. When will our politicians learn?

    1. Well brexit is gonna make you more dependent on the USA and our president will definitely not treat you as equals to be honest with you.

    2. @taf EU places more restrictions on it’s members than Supreme Soviet of USSR placed on Soviet republics .

  5. “Freedom of navigation should be maintained”…..except when it comes to Iran….#WesternImperialism

    1. I always thought International waters meant the big wide open sea. This gulf does not come under that title in my opinion. The stretch of water involved is arguably more in Iran than Arabia. We should be asking politely if we can traverse it.

  6. Jeremy Hunt says freedom of movement?? When a British ship stopped a tanker going to Syria?! That’s double standards what’s the matter just because the Iranians dropped the petro dollar and taken up the euro wait until there becomes the one world currency and the gold standard loses the the dollar also then watch what I’ll happen pound Stirling us dollar even the euro will go
Steadily but surely the collapse will begin stocks and shares will go and not even the rich will be immuned from this and finally every one of us will be in the same situation!!

    1. The British stopped a Panamanian flagged tanker, with an Indian crew, carrying crude with paperwork proclaiming it to be Iragi oil attempting to smuggle it in violation of EU sanctions in UK territorial waters.

    2. @Problematic 1 exactly! Brian should probably go live in Iran if he can’t choose a side in this. Western democracy vs crazed religious nut jobs. Beyond me how people can still decide to defend Iran. Note – its the Iranian government the problem not the Iranian people

  7. “Consequences” …you mean like the WAR that Israel / U.S. (Israel’s puppet) wanted waged on Iran in the first place?

  8. The road to world peace goes through a lump of glass in the Middle East Desert, where future generations will be told was the place that Israel was given a chance to join the human race, but decided to embrace terrorism and total destruction instead. Children will be stupefied as to how people could be so corrupt and evil, to the core of their very existence.

  9. Donald Trump alone has escalated tensions with Iran; he should be held accountable and the international community should negate the sanctions on Iran and return to a diplomatic posture.

    1. Dean I know, Trump certainly is and America needs to end his “Presidency” as soon as possible; he has imperiled the world.

  10. Blair wagged his tail for Bush, The brits are well known when it comes to this. wagging their tail again.

  11. The UK: *Seizes an Iranian tanker* Iran: *Seizes a British tanker* The UK: *Surprised Pikachu face*

(Edit) At the time of leaving this comment, the news I had heard was that an Iranian tanker was seized by the British before Iran seized this one. I’ve been unable to find anything to back that claim up so disregard my previous comment.

  12. Iran has the right to detain the ship and shud arrest the Master of the ship for smuggling hashish for the Queen.

  13. So why is it okay for the UK to cease an Iranian ship in the Straights of Gibraltar? The sanctions were not approved by the UN. The UK act was illegal under International Law.
