As the police continue to investigate the country’s latest gun-related murder, three members of one family are in police custody assisting with the investigations. A 22-year-old Gray’s Farm man, his teenage brother and their uncle are allegedly being questioned about the shooting death of 25-year-old Steve Mingo.

Mingo was killed last Saturday morning after two men entered his house and shot him. Allegations are that the Mingo's brother and the two men were in a dispute over stolen items taken from his Gray's Farm home last week.

Mingo, who is originally from Dominica, ran from his home after he was shot, but collapsed and died in the middle of the road several yards away from his house.
