Turning Point? Key Republicans Open To Impeaching Trump | The Beat With Ari Melber | MSNBC

Amidst Trump’s top Republican ally, Lindsay Graham, saying he would support impeachment if more evidence of a quid pro quo was revealed, President Trump is begging for his GOP allies to be ‘tougher’ and ‘fight’ against impeachment. Reason Magazine’s Matt Welch argues Graham’s ‘wobbling’ comments about impeachment are ‘significant’ and show signs of ‘possible weakness’ within the party’s stance on impeachment. Aired on 10/21/19.

    1. @B S Lets put it this way those Republicans who seats will be up for grabs maybe ousted when Trump is put out of office by vote! *I give it a 50/50 with it being safer for them impeaching him if they’re smart! Why do you think Lindsey & McConnely are thinking long & hard?!*

    2. Its been like that for a long time coming.

Its ashame.., to have all that power to make this Nation a better place for every American and have not a clue nor Care to do what is right for The People…. Beyond sad.

    3. 65Lkhj Lkhj65 Lindsey Graham is facing his challenger in the forthcoming 2020 election, he is brazenly turned coat and chilled out for what is waiting for him in North Carolina. Moscow Mitch is different; he must pay back to Trump’s Oligarch who promised to invest $200 mil in Kentucky.

  1. It will be damming, looking back at clear undeniable crimes and not holding a criminal President accountable from either side of the aisle…

    1. Claudy TheArtist Looking at the whole drama in front of my eyes, stunned and start to think I want to possess the power and the lawless life too.

    1. trump is playing Tic tac toe maybe and even that is giving him probably to much credit. I have seen rocks smarter than him.

    2. You’re giving trump too much credit. He hasn’t stopped chewing on his crayons long enough to learn how to play checkers.

  2. The quid pro quo is irrelevant! Why doesn’t the media get that Trump committed a crime even WITHOUT a quid pro quo.

    1. @Saltponds239 You can use that to justify it all you want but that’s been disproven “More Than Once” “The Favor was Trump Saying, “I need a Favor though, I need you to investigate this Biden thing!” No President can ask that, not just Trump…

    2. @Saltponds239 Before you ask, The entire “EU” wanted him gone, “Nato” wanted him gone… “FYI, DJT, is not dealing with any rules and regulations that any other sitting President hasn’t had to deal with, “However They at least understood why those rules and regulations existed in the first place!!!”

    1. @marzeepants Well our Michael better watch the next time he goes to the showers that he doesn’t accidentally slip on a bar of soap and end up hanged. 😉

  3. Part of Andrew Johnsons impeachment had to do with his character and how he made the office look. Going solely by that, dump should have long been gone

    1. kristie c, going on that alone, he should’ve been executed back in the 80’s when he first threw the idea of running for president out there.

    1. Really hoping the others will be the ones who vote against Trump, because Lindsey can flip his lid any moment too as we have all seen before again and again.

    2. yeah but we need flimsy Graham if he flip on Trump the rest will , all we need is 20 votes from the senate..

    1. Yeah right! But the Republicans and Democrats in power before 2016, who spend $8+ Trillion in the Middle East Wars, are just fine 🙁

  4. I can’t wait to watch him finally go off the deep end. There’s a straight jacket with his name on it.

    1. Um… look, he’s been off the deep end for the past couple of years. We’ve just gotten used to it.

    2. We’ll make sure is the best stripe shirt, the greatest like we’ve never seen before..and out side his cell it’ll have a big red sign “WE’VE MADE M’ERICA GREAT AGAIN!

    1. They have taken their stand and it is not for but against. the constitution. They will not stop there unless we stop them in 2020. At this point the republicans best hope is to turn on trump and hope the BS blows over in time for enough people to forget and forgive them.

  5. “The Democrats are trying to hurt the Republican Party.” The Dems don’t need to, you’re doing a fine job.

    1. If anything, Democrats are trying to save what remains of the Republican Party by getting rid of the toxic source

    2. @SICCC Studios Well that’s the problem, +35yrs ago my *Republican friends and I could chide and tease one another on issues and still remain in agreement on our mutual core values! I don’t even recognize this Republican party and they have polarized their stance to a 96% cover-up for a corrupt man! I mean their putting so many eggs in one basket that they have not even considered placing a morally right standing, strong candidate against Trump to repair the damage they’ve done to their own party!?*

    3. @65Lkhj Lkhj65 True words. The problem now is trying to convince Trump supporters that we arnt trying to get rid of Trump cause he’s Trump. To have bad policies is one thing, but this man is a threat to our Republic. Never has a President been a threat to the very constitution he swore to protect.

    1. He wants evidence outside of the phone call because those working outside of it were Guilliani and Barr. Graham is still supporting Trump.

    2. Wilbur Jenkins If Trump is removed I think he’ll be the nastiest and most toxic ex-president imaginable. He might even splinter the GOP. His reputation needs to be totally destroyed, along with his co-conspirators, for the Republicans to emerge from this intact.

    3. Media has to start asking them what they need for impeachment, when that thing happened they wont have any excuse left

    4. Wilbur Jenkins I’m suspecting there is dirt on Lindsey Graham that Trump is extorting him for his allegiance.
