@Bob Bobberson Pelosi is forcing Republican Senators to make a decision: to say “I do not approve of Donald Trump and all he’s done and stands for” or “I do approve….” of this divided country that will only become more divided as long as he stays, this daily drama, killing innocent Kurdish women and children, constant attempts to get richer off the presidency, his childish potty-mouth, alienating our allies while kissing Putin’s butt and doing his bidding and more.
If they do not stand up to him now, he will continue to control them and bully and humiliate them even after he’s out of office and they know it. After he’s out of office if he wants a law passed that will be financially beneficial to him, if they don’t do it, he’ll make public remarks to his base.
So, they can either stand up to him now, or continue to hate his guts and still bow down to him.
Then release the call so we can read it ourselves!

Unfortunately, even the “official” version in the code-word server is still going to be a modified summary. For whatever reason, no recording of presidential calls is made. Instead, a combination of voice-recognition software and transcribers work to produce a rough draft of what each party said. It then goes to a senior NSC official for verification and/or final edit. This latter duty was wholly, or in part, the responsibility of Alexander Vindman, and we know what happened there: Key portions of the call (e.g. trump talking more about Biden, Zelensky mentioning Burisma by name) were either left out or edited out by the time the “transcript” got to Vindman’s desk. Vindman tried to have those portions re-instated, but was denied.
TL:DR – I don’t think there is faithful transcript of the call, anywhere.
@Jack M The Russians, Ukrainians, Israelis, Chinese, probably even the Australians have actual recordings of it. Will we get to hear it?
@Jack M Several other countries have recordings though. Recordings exist, it shouldn’t be too hard to acquire them.

The call happened exactly as the witnesses stated, FACT! Trump even admitted to it along with Mulvaney on television FACT!……..Trump has no defence and should be IMPEACHED and REMOVED from office period.

Daekj32 Biden was working for American interests in conjunction with other world leaders AND Ukraine to remove a corrupt person from Ukraine’s government. The person they were removing was refusing to investigate corruption. Once he was removed, with the help of Joe Biden, his replacement then opened an investigation into Burisma, the very same company that Joe Biden’s son worked for. Biden was not working for his own, or his son’s interests. He was helping Ukraine get rid of corruption.
This Ukraine thing is more extortion than bribery, although similar. I’ll give you $50 not to write that ticket, officer. That’s a straight out bribe.
I want you to do me a favor, though, before you receive $400,000,000 in military aid, which is to announce an investigation of a US political opponent and his family. That’s extortion, quid pro quo, this for that. Then hold up the aid to fight the Russians to pressure compliance. Way, way worse especially if you’re already staring into the barrel of a Russian tank. Just saying.
