    1. Because now China is sending even more protective equipment back to Canada. China makes around half of the worlds personal protective equipment and they are limiting exports off these products so it’s a great idea to be in their favour. Sending China that equipment when they were most in need has and will only serve to help Canada in the future.

    2. @luwdmke Do you honestly believe this? Or do you understand that this is an absurd thing to believe?

    3. @R.K Trainer your great-great grandfather’s came to this country received a free money so they can survive and now we give the refugees free money so thy can survive and build a new life here,,, you probably might be taking free money for a 3rd generations..

    1. Incredible right? These “reporters” sure are ready to publish materials critiquing trump tho. Interesting it only ever goes one way.

  1. Canada will know we need to satisfy our own need for basic products and medical supplies right here , at our homeland. Real jobs for Canadians!

    1. I read today that 3M actually sources raw materials for making these masks from Canada, so it would be easy I imagine to cut off access to those materials if push came to shove.

    2. We always look for the cheaper product rather than where it’s from. We have to put our money where are mouth is. We as consumers have the real power.

  2. We should make our own goods here in Canada 🇨🇦 leave jobs here! Is they hard to do?

    1. @Mrbrain bob False. The highest quality medical supplies are deemed as such by peer reviewed literature, on one of the largest producers of such products is Alliance Health… a Canadian company which produces the majority of medical supplies in Canada.

    2. @ScorpionXII nope its Texas is well known for it’s high quality medical supplies shipped all around the world canada cant compare.

    3. @Mrbrain bob You flip flopped; first you said highest quality, now you’ve moved the goal post to “high quality”. Your intellectually dishonest leads me to believe that your comments are ideologically motivated. Anyways… like I said, the highest quality medical supplies are deemed as such by peer reviewed literature, on one of the largest producers of such products is Alliance Health… a Canadian company which produces the majority of medical supplies in Canada.

    4. @ScorpionXII lmaooo a small mistake and you over react. You need to fix that ego anyways facts are facts “HIGHEST” quality of medical supplies in North America are made in America and some are exported to canada. Also nothing you said disproves my original comment in any way, actually your comment support mine greatly lol.

    5. @Mrbrain bob It’s a gargantuan mistake that I reacted to correctly.

“You need to fix that ego”

This is a common logical fallacy known as… Poisoning The Well.

“anyways facts are facts “HIGHEST” quality of medical supplies in North America are made in America”

False. The highest quality medical supplies are deemed as such by peer reviewed literature, America isn’t the only country that produces such medical supplies, as explained earlier.

“made in America and some are exported to canada”

The highest quality medical supplies are made by companies who’s products are deemed as such by peer reviewed literature, some of those supplies are exported from the USA to Canada, and some are exported from Canada to the USA.

“Also nothing you said disproves my original comment in any way”

The fact that the highest quality medical supplies are deemed as such by peer reviewed literature, and that America isn’t the only country that produces such medical supplies completely disproves your entire position.

“actually your comment support mine greatly lol”

The fact that the highest quality medical supplies are deemed as such by peer reviewed literature, and that America isn’t the only country that produces such medical supplies completely destroys your comment entirely.

    1. @Thomas Johnson
Hey… read my two comments before thumping your chest… not every Canadian uses simplistic analysis… don’t do the same. Take the high road… please!

    2. @John, you cannot blame everything on the weather. Californians, for example, have been WASTING water and resources for years. Americans DO want our water. This is fine if they pay for it but there is no way Canadians should be paying for Nestle’s bottled water. There is a reason why they built another headquarters in the States and not in Canada.

  3. we should make those masks here in canada as well as any thing else that is important so we do not need to rely on any other country in a time of need

    1. patrick dean
rich & devolved country, usually not made product anything of everything by yourself. Just focus on something quality products
All the basic things & easily products it made from poorer & devolveping country.
Because it risks for natural & air pollution!!
You see Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc…Beside of beautiful city & beautiful island, all of these country affected very bad by pollution & dirt

    2. @love n sweet2008 that is because those countries do not have the same standards when it comes to pollution

  4. The real question is, why aren’t we making everything we can in our own country we don’t even process our own oil we ship it to the states to process and they sell it back for more..

    1. because politicians that have’t produced anyything or empolyed anyone in their lives are in control…

    1. But it does require capital intensive infrastructure. Stop the export of raw materials used for 3M masks (nothing against 3M). Canada needs to stand up for itself.

    1. Except no company has invested the money into doing it in canada, because there was no reason too, and now they have no ability to.

    1. 3M not listening to Trump. The defense act enacted in time of war, means can take over 3M legally. The government will be in charge. The states have been calling 3M and they been getting the run around that they have no control that is the suppliers that are selling the masks.

  5. Why do we even want masks?

“Wearing a mask is not beneficial” Dr. Teresa Tam- Canadas Cheif Public Health Officer – March 30th 2020

  6. Trudeau and his government health officials have repeatedly said that masks were not necessary or an important factor in stopping the spread of the virus….and now he’s supposed to be surprised that we didn’t get what he said we didn’t need….

    1. @Doctor Buga and scheer is… oh wait – nothing. a phoney insurance clerk with 6 mths of clerical experience lol.

  7. 3m has a factory in Ontario already 🤪🤪🤪🤪.
Doug already has this taken care of trude thanks to late to the party again.
