  1. Lot’s of those kids should not have been removed from their parents in the first place. Reconciliation and compensation should not be prioritized over preventing the injustice in the first place.

    1. Just think of all the federal government job openings if they moved jobs out of Quebec. Would be no need for federal government workers to speak French. CRTC, Elections Canada, Canada Revenue, etc. don’t need to be moved to the Ontario side they could be distributed around the rest of the country. The money saved no longer having to do everything in two languages would likely be a huge savings. Plus the money saved from Quebec scamming the so-called equalization system. I bet within a couple of years Quebecers would no longer have cheaper day care, etc. when they can no longer sponge off the rest of the country.

  2. I agree that children shouldn’t have been taken away from their families, however, we cannot undo what’s already been done.

Reconciliation is more than ‘throwing money at the circumstances’. There needs to be more than that. Admission is a part of it, and the administration has done that.

Now, the most important thing is to rebuild communities and restore culture. More importantly, restore the self-government of the indigenous peoples in a broader way.

They need to find resources to become independent and autonomous of the Canadian government. To restore the pride and dignity of the peoples so that they’re no longer reliant on the Canadian government financially any more.

  3. He never answers a single question. Someone please ask him what his favourite colour is I would love to see his response.
Let me guess how it starts…
    “Canadians….”

  4. I’m apolitical, but I recognize that Trudeau wouldn’t be doing HIS job if he didn’t appeal a $2 Billion judgment against the entire country.
