    1. That premise is almost correct as the poorest and most vulnerable people doesn’t have the same opportunity as majority wealthy people to migrate to a better future. There is going to become a large amount of climate refugees in the near future and I’m afraid that reparations will be the least of any problems. If the wealth globally is actively working only for the Besos and the Gates and the Bransons and so forth and they are not forced to give back to the societies that created them in form of dedicated climate taxes, nothing about reparations will make sense.

    2. @Charisma Hornum-Fries im talking about the bigger picture that being the planet. Climate refugees wont matter if the planet becomes uninhabitable.

    3. @ALP7A But the planet will never become uninhabitable, it will just only support a much smaller population.

Climate change is sadly just another symptom of the bigger issue. Our economic and governmental systems are broken. The reason there is such a wealth disparity is because racism is literally written into laws and corporate regulation. We need to fix that before even climate change can be truly addressed.

    1. @Anthony Are you aware that some of the reservations don’t even have proper running water? There’s a lot of work still to be done there.

  1. THE RIGHT WING CORPORATE STOOGES IN CONgress REFUSE TO ALLOW THE DEMOCRAT’s TO SECURE OUR VOTING SYSTEM! WHY BECAUSE THEY WAN’T TO BE ABLE TO STEAL THE 2020 ELECTION THE SAME WAY THEY STOLE THE 2016 ELECTION!!!

  2. For the time being we should put on the back burner and FOCUS ON TAKING TRUMP OUT OF OUR HOUSE then we take up all the issues we need too! Please.

  3. Pay “reparations” in Confederate Dollars. Union Soldiers already paid in blood. Quit looking for handouts.

    1. @Skeli Ton You never bled for anything. Grow up and stop crying about what your ancestors went through. Blame the Africans for enslaving your ancestors.

    2. @David Johnson The Homestead Act was for ACTUAL SLAVES… Reparations for people 5 generations removed???? WTF!

    3. @MeanGeneSanDiego no the homestead act was for whites that received land for merely being white (handout) and were allowed to build wealth, and transfer that wealth to their descendants.

  4. Ummm, how about laser focusing on getting STATEHOOD for both D.C. and Puerto Rico in the first week of the Dem President, House and Senate!! Just need simple majorities and a signature then DONE! 4 DEM Senators, 7-8 DEM REPS and a justification for adding 2 SCOTUS seats right away!! Reparations wont get done because NO ONE agrees what it should look like!! FOCUS!!!

  5. Dumpy Trump sat on his Mexican wall,
Dumpy Trump made the NASDAC fall,
All of Putin’s forces and his MAGA Cult,
Couldn’t get Dumpy Trump elected President again.

  6. Why not just tax the rich and the corporations, and stop using 53% of the GDP on the military then they can afford to help rebuild the poor areas of America for all poor and disadvantaged Americans, green energy jobs are clearly the way forward and training needs to be given to the younger generation who have fallen through the cracks, give incentives to companies to train and employ kids who have basic education, not everyone is suited to university level education, better schools would help, these are the things that would help fix America, also a clean water act for all Americans, as it’s something that needs to be addressed urgently.

  7. Sorry MSNBC but you get a thumbs down on this one!!! You must want to keep Trump in office with this BS!

  8. Straight up cash repiration is a stupid idea, maybe I don’t understand the proposal, but there is no denying this guy seems to be one of the nicest guys in the world.

  9. All job applicants should be interviewed like on The Voice. Either blindfolded or with their backs to the candidates. That would give a better chance for the right applicant to get the job regardless of what they looked like.

  10. Reparations? To whom and for what? There are no black folks alive whom were ever slaves. Where will the money come from? Me? You? The working class?

  11. Reparations is not just for slavery it is restitution for ills that occured during slavery, reconstruction, jim crow, and beyond. It is financial obligations that are owed not different than restitution to survivors and descendants of the Holocaust, Native American tribes, and Japanese internment camps.

  12. People are hesitant to accept jobs that are low-paying, part time, and without insurance!!! If you do, you are apt to have 2 or 3 of these jobs!!! Not that someone like that would know. 😡
