This is exactly according to Putin’s plan. Putin’s misinformation campaign has been adopted by Trump. The goal is to undermine democracy, free speech and trust in Western governments. They have succeeded exactly according to plan. The only way out of this mess in the future will be to make the intentional spread of misinformation an illegal act. For example, channels such as Fox “News” and Russia Today shouldn’t be allowed to exist in their current form.
