CNN swing voters, especially in the Rust Belt, they voted for Obama in ‘08 and ‘12, narrowly votes Trump in ‘16, and overwhelmingly voted Democratic in ‘18 during the blue wave. Wonder if they stay with Democrats in ‘20 or go back to Trump.
Why does no one want to go after the other half of the population that doesn’t vote? A few do but no one wants to touch that base.

Are you not aware that the electoral colleges vote in alignment with the votes cast in their state’s districts? There is a problem with state level gerrymandering, and some people take issue with the notion that where a vote is cast matters, but neither of those things are caused by the electoral colleges.

Gerrymandering is strictly done by Democrats to corral their black voting slaves in city districts and continue to control them.
The senate and electoral college are by design undemocratic institutions so you can argue they serve the same process as gerrymandering. There’s no reason a tiny state like Iowa should have as much influence over an election as California does.

After 40 years+ of being a registered Republican, I changed my voter registration just last week to DEMOCRAT. I have been disillusioned by the Republican party for many years, but the last two years have been a complete embarrassment. Whether you live in the suburbs or elsewhere, the behavior of the majority of Republicans in the House and Senate should make anyone question their affiliation with the lot.
