Daniel Effron, an associate professor for organizational behavior at the London Business school, tells Chuck Todd that if you are repeatedly exposed to misinformation, you can start believing it. 1. And yet if you repeatedly told a Republican senator the truth a hundred times it still wouldn’t get through, they are impervious to it.

    1. I have been very disappointed recently, NOT by any of the democrat candidates, but the followers of one specific candidate: BERNIE SANDERS FOLLOWERS. If you do not 100% agree with their “locked in” ideas about him, or how everyone ELSE is evil, (in particular, those on the left)…YOU WILL GET ATTACKED. I’m not sure I see much daylight b/w the rabid supporter of Trump, and the rabid supporters of Bernie, as far as – NOTHING is getting into that mindset. I worry for the Democrat party in 2020.

    2. Yet you, as a brainwashed leftist believe every single thing the democRATS and the democratic quislings in the media tell you.

    1. I think Bigfoot videos are fake.
So I choose not to watch them and comment on them.
How about you- spend much time watching Bigfoot videos and commenting on how fake they are ?

  2. I don’t watch ABC, but I just watched an ABC clip, where it passively broadcasted a liar (McClintock) lying. It did nothing to challenge his lies, and did nothing to inform its audience of the truth. In my opinion, ABC is complicit in McClintock’s tRumpsucking treason.

  3. It’s not that we become “numb” to the same information repeated again and again. It’s that a growing number of Americans lack the fundamental critical thinking skills necessary to distinguish between subjective experiences!

And more and more Americans are seemingly unable to give a sh*t whether the information they’re receiving and subsequently sharing is factual or not, because all that matters is whether it can be effectively weaponized for their particular agenda, or to back up their point of view.

Virtues like “honor,” and “integrity” stopped being valuable DECADES ago. And, now it’s only the ability to prevail, at any cost, that means anything. People are increasingly more likely to lie, cheat and obfuscate in order to “own” their perceived opponents. And, one side is CLEARLY less shameful doing it, as well.

But, things like “Russian Propaganda” “right-wing talking points” and “fake News” are all FAR more effective tactics nowadays because we are becoming increasingly susceptible to BULLSH*T these days.

And, that’s a direct result of the recent failures of our basic education system.

Objective scientific literacy is the most effective inoculate agaisnt misinformation, lies, charlatans and CON ARTISTS.

Which is why we currently struggle with all of those things EVERY DAY in this Country.

It won’t be until we can better prioritize education quality that we’ll start recognizing more effectively the woul being pulled over our eyes.

  4. “The receptivity of the masses is limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points & must harp on these in slogans until the last member of of the public understands what you want want him to understand.” Joseph Goebbels

    1. The media’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.
      — Malcolm X

  5. The recent Biden interaction with the all knowing man proves this point.
    “I heard it on TV”…😥😥😥

    1. I’ve said this from the beginning. Trump supporters use the same techniques that theists do – Their leader cannot be questioned. Anything he says or does is automatically correct. No fault can be admitted, lest their house of cards collapses. Unbelievers are subhuman infidels that do not deserve compassion or respect. Their “truth” is the only truth and anything that contradicts it are lies.

    2. @CommonSense —->> Speaking of CommonSense —->> The media’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.
      — Malcolm X

  6. msnbc is not News. It’s Satire, Tabloid teleprompt actors, pretending to be News Reporters.
Use Independent Media for Real News banned.video

  7. Daniel Effron: He’s not a political strategist. He’s not a political advocate. He’s not even a real human being. Just a great example of CGI at work.
