Stone Trial Opens New Window On Trump’s Awareness Of Russian Help | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

Rachel Maddow looks at the prosecution's opening statement in the trial of Roger Stone and points out that as much as much as this trial is about Stone, it is also significantly about what and when Donald Trump knew about Russia's effort to help his 2016 campaign. Aired on 11/06/19.

    1. Kavuma, it has nothing to do with forgiveness, there are laws, and they should be enforced. For the common good. Lock them up!

After hearing all the damning evidence against Stone, and there will be more people to follow, you have to wonder what these people’s thoughts were on what they were going to gain. The sad part is they’ve known Trump for a very long time and Trump has never given or done anything for anyone but himself, period.

    2. @Allen Nezi He is the king of disinformation and propaganda. Stone was a regular on InfoWars, Lionel nation and many youtube conspiracy theorist shows. Disgusting human being and a traitor to the U.S.

    1. razor8191 – LOL. I was going to write something similar, but my comment was going to call him a hemorrhoid on the butt of humanity. But β€œtumor” is also quite good. Hats off you, good sir.

  1. When will Julian Assange be extradited? That would be icing on the cake if they could turn Assange into a witness against Stone and Trump.

    1. This would be much better than to just put him into jail.
It would be interesting to learn from him how and from whom he got all the DNC documents and if there was any direct connection between those people, Stone and the Trump administration.

    2. RhondaH – insane? Not on his own accord! He is being tortured psychologically and physically in prison! No one and I mean NO ONE could remain sane under that torture. And if he is extradited to the us he would never get a fair trial. He shouldn’t even be locked up! He is trump’s scapegoat.

  2. β€œAnd And And”, the egregious conduct goes on and on and on. This is no longer political. Hats off to Rachel & her superb team (again) πŸ‘

    1. Mark Zaid: Whistleblower Attorney *β€œI would have joined FBI just for the free Disney passes” **#KidProQuo*

    2. @Rod Allen Roger stone WAS a propagandist and conspiracy and mud slinger. Sadly you fail to remember he did this to John McCain in the primary against George Bush Jr when Roger stone propagated and spread the lie that the McCain’s adopted daughter was a love child from an extra marital affair (with a woman of color). Take a seat.

    1. @Joe Berndt
Planned Parenthood is nothing short of a Corprocratic Sacrificial Temple with Fedex trucks trucking out baby parts as if Planned Parenthood was simply a grocery store butcher.

    2. @Flash The baby was a Never Trumper,
Donald never met the baby, hardly knew the kid,
Rand Paul : There is no law stopping _me_ from kicking the baby…
Trumpism is just a Moebius Strip of criminality and mendacity.

    3. Hardly knew the baby,
      Wasn’t a big fan…
Anyway, wouldn’t be able to punt the baby out of a crowd. Not even a crowd of babies, it would not need to be that obvious. He could be the only baby in the crowd and I would not know the baby. He was only a coffee baby or a campaign support worker baby or campaign manager baby. I pay babies fifty bucks to stand behind me and make baby type gurgling and cooing sounds. All the time Coo coo coo…
      Who said that ? creepy…
But we do it all the time and we get two points through the uprights… so governments do this all the time, its time to get over it… so get over it, because we didn’t do it. I can not tell a lie, George Washington was a low IQ individual.

    1. @Katie Kane That what I got out of Rose Harveys comment also. Im 80 I could get away with murder and I have 1 small dog and 3 cats, does that mean I could do more than 1????

  3. Rachel and team, your reporting of this infamous era will be time-capsuled for future generations. Excellent work.

    1. Stone had to have more than just Wikileaks in the fire. Washington DC read leaked and stolen documents throughout history, landing many in Ben Bradley’s, (a great and honest editor who ran a clean Washington Post) hands. There has to be more.

    2. I agree. My level of fear and confusion has gone way down since I found her. Thank you so much! Information is everything.

    1. Tattletale RED The ppl of Hawaii say Tulsi Gabbard, is like Joe Manchin, they are REPUNKKKLICUNTS pretending to be Democrats, you know like WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING…Butagiej is another REPUNKKKLICUNT pretending to be a Democrat…They are slimy & belong in Trump’s swamp with the rest of the creepy crawlers & cockaroachesβ€ΌοΈπŸ’―πŸ€™πŸ½

  4. Fingers crossed this is the beginning of something actually getting done to hold this creep Trump, his family and all the other thugs accountable for what they have done.

    1. Trump will jump before next Wednesday? The Turks are coming with their wiretap on the Saudi embassy. Did he ask J.K. to phone MBS?

    2. @Martin Laverty Wait, what? Do tell. What have I missed?! πŸ™‚ Are the Turks turning on Trump *after* he gave them the go-ahead to annihilate our own allies? Suddenly, Trump’s actions in Syria are making so much sense. Please, let it be true.

    3. The nerve of his kids saying that their family had suffered and lost so much money since their father became president!

  5. “Witness tampering carries a potential 20 years prison term.” Spanky McBoneSpurs and most of the Republikkkans in Congress have violated that law multiple times.

    1. What is the statute of limitations for purposely taking electronic equipment into the SCIF, filming and tweeting from there? I hope that when a Democrat comes to power again, they have the DOJ revisit that iconic moment.

    2. @Cynna1065 As far as I can tell there is a limit of 10 years unless somehow it leads to a death. There would be no limitations if the tampering resulted in a death, or was tampering with the evidence of a death/potential murder.

    3. @Distant Vision Ah. Thank you for the information. Perhaps some of those with their cellphones may still get what they deserve for turning the SCIF into a sit-in at a Pizza Hut and trying to turn it into a social media event. That was absolutely disgraceful behavior.

  6. WHEN YOU GET HIS TAXES, IT’S ALL OVER, FOR TRUMP, THAT IS WHY HE IS FIGHTING SO HARD TO HIDE HIS TAXES.

    1. @William Evans except that he held back the tax info even before he was elected – follow the money & he will be exposed as the shyster he is.

    2. At this point his taxes (if they show any wrong doings), would simply be the cherry on top of the iceing in top of the 🍰

  7. Rachel just shines when she’s excited over the events. Keep it up Democrats, a good day for Kentucky & Virginia!

  8. “The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him.”
    Niccolo Machiavelli

    1. Trump’s BIGGEST INFLUENCE was Roy Cohn the DISBARRED LAWYER who was CHARGED WITH PERJURY, CONSPIRACY, OBSTRUCTION….SOUND FAMILIAR. TRUMP LEARNED WELL FROM THIS CHEATER. People tell me this was Trump’s first homosexual lover.

  9. She’s brilliant. All Roger Stone cares about is people talking about him and she’s trying to take that away from him. Well done Rachel
