This whole immigration debate is a farce. I don’t aspire to live in 3rd world country conditions. How can any nation take in half the population of the countries these people are fleeing and believe these new comers will make their host country great. If they don’t wanna learn English when they arrive, it means “We are coming to take back the land that the European colonizers had stolen from our ancestors”. It seems quite clear to me what’s going on at our southern border. I’m just saying.
I think that if they come here and want to make a new start, we should show them the same respect that we would want. It seems as though they assume everyone that comes here are escapees from some jail from somewhere else. What of those who were with cousins or grandparents and were treated as unaccompanied. That was bad, but those children were transferred to other facilities with no record of where or when they entered. the same for those where the parents were immediately deported. No record where the parents entered only where they were deported from.

So…We did this despite knowing that our lack of capabilities could only lead to greatly overcrowded facilities (concentration camps, if you prefer); poor conditions; human rights abuses against children, refugees, and migrants of color; lasting traumatic damage done to the children; vastly increased costs to the American taxpayer; the demoralization, desensitization, destabilization, depletion and destruction of our vital government workforce securing our borders and dealing with immigration. So…Just to be clear here, at the end of the day, the only goal was to extort money from Congress by torturing children and innocent people we hold hostage. Call it kidnapping if you want.
