The Sociopath Next Door sounds like a book I would like to read. But how, truly, are psychopaths made? By not being loved and accepted by those they depend on most. Their parents. If they are rejected, mocked, demeaned, they will believe they are unlovable and thus cannot love others. They will not learn to get into the role of the other, and fail to love others. And thus fail to develop empathy. “Get what you can while you can..” If there is nothing left for anyone else, oh well. The ego remains diminished and the poor psychopath spends his or her entire life trying to fill that diminished ego, but never can. This courtesy of Sigmund Freud.

My mom met her on a flight once when she worked as a flight attendant back in the 90s. Sharon took the time to chat with her and sign a photo. She sounded like a class act then, and still is. I wish we got see more of her on screen again.
