The disturbing thing about the republican remarks is that they know the actual trial is in the senate that what they are doing is an investigation. Yet they routinely refer to the house investigation as a trial (falsely) and then claim the action is not following trial protocol meaning the president does not have a lawyer in the room and doing cross examination. There is no trial at this point in time that is the fact.
