    1. @John Crocker no need to apologize, I’m actually in NJ. New York City is kind of like its own state in a way. Outside of New York City, it’s very country like. It’s all of the major cities in New York that suck.

    1. @MyName IsT the empty cashier lanes are due to labor cuts, forcing the consumer to do the work at self check out. Soon you’ll be digging in shipping cartons for the product,so they don’t have to stock shelves .

    2. MyName IsT Walmart doesn’t pay enough to afford a place in my area and my area is around the national average as far as rent. There’s also many homeless people who are employed too, cost of living has accelerated while wages have lagged far behind.

  1. :22-unless she finds a job within a year she will loose her car.
    gas
    oil changes
    brakedown(s)
    dog food
    dog shots
    dog vet
all expenses she doesnt have money for..
when you are homeless, all those expenses can be overwhelming, to the point of mental breakdown

    1. @Nonya Bizness I also proved you don’t need more than a job to come back from it. I have no sympathy for any less willing to work than myself. The only thing really holding anyone down in this country is ignorance & their own will.

    2. @John Crocker i’ve personally known people who think and feel as you do. of those who fell, the ones like you fell the furthest and landed the hardest. punching down doesn’t wear well over time. judging other human beings on a scale of you to zero, holding yourself out as the model, failing to account for the fragilities and flaws of others that you know mothing about… never a good look.

i have mad sympathy for those who have not- no one ~wants~ to live a mean, meager, dangerous, imperiled, tenuous, undignified life. that, and i have profound gratitude every single day for the comforts and security i have.

      happy holidays.

    3. John Crocker – oh so you think you own that home huh? Get behind on property taxes and see who really owns that home. It surely isn’t you. But whatever makes you feel good and makes you feel better than the downtrodden. You’re just a few missed paychecks away from being right out there on the streets with em.

    1. Exactly! What would Jesus do? Walk by and blame them for their own misfortune? I think not. And let us arrest those who try and give comfort to them. Condemn them? God Bless their Souls …

    2. @Karal Guidubaldi jesus would tell them to follow the laws of the land. It saves you from undo hardships.

    1. @Barry Midikiner ok y’all! If you say so homie! What’s your idea of productiveness? Posting memes and trolling? Bullying online your real life bullies?😂

  2. It’s $800 for a room without toilet or stove in downtown LA on the fringe of skid row. An extra $300 to park your car. And that’s cheaper than San Francisco.

    1. Jeez. My mortgage on my 3/2 block home in Florida is $540 dollars. I couldn’t imagine spending double that on a tiny apartment.

  3. If you’ve got a working car, get out of California! Go somewhere that you might have a chance of starting over before it’s too late and your vehicle brakes down and you’re trapped there.

    1. @William its not national. I.e in missouri rent for 3 story houses is around $800 a month. And much cheaper to buy. Many conservative states have quality of life laws in place to stop the homeless from swamping the streets.

    2. @大根 poor but still in a home. Were talking about homelessness. Which is by far much much worse than being poor. Coming from someone whos experienced it. The difference is conservative states had the skill to better the peoples interests before homelessness happened. Progressive states see something going wrong then double down on the efforts and make it worse.

    3. Being poor in conservative states usually has to do with choices made. Being homeless in progressives states. Primarily california is due to illegals uncontrolled fires caused by conservation efforts and the rich pinching every penny until its a diamond. No excuse for ca to have the gdp it has And also the homelessness it has. Its quite evil.

  4. This is such a serious matter and it needs to come to the forefront of our conversations. Many people are mentally disabled. Everyone has their own story. Trust me… no-one who is homeless just woke up one morning and deliberately decided that this is how they wanted to live. If you are a Veteran, as I am, you can contact a program designed for homeless Veterans. Their motto is “No Veteran Should ever be Homeless “. I can honestly say that they were a Blessing to me. If anyone who hopefully reads this who is a Veteran or knows someone who is, please reach out and try to get some help. It is a very difficult to be in this situation. Mental evaluation and care is essential… too many of us are depressed and have other conditions that may go unknown. Suicide attempts are prevalent. Have you ever woke up crying because you are still alive?
Please help someone who cannot find a way to help themselves. Thank you in advance for helping someone know that they are relevant in this World. Please pass this on.

    1. only in democrat states, or did you not notice that because cnn failed to mention it, because cnn does the thinking for you,

  5. oh that’s good so California can continue taxing their citizens out of their homes but gives them a place to park with one security guard as they live out of their damn car….. California has become a communist state

  6. It is so difficult to watch this and recognise that it’s America today. The US used to be known as the leader of the free World. This, and other news and homelessness videos, just goes to show that many Americans are living in a shithole Country. So sad.

    1. Its not country wide. Its primarily in left controlled cities. Conservatives have laws in place to curb the homelessness. And the homeless themselves. California used to have laws like that.

    2. It was not a sh!thole until Democrats stopped building housing while failing to deport illegals, arrest drug dealers and enforce the law. There is not enough housing.

  7. Code doesn’t pay much better than Uber. And the pace you’re forced to work at is worse than Amazon…..good luck.

    1. Yes because corporate landlords can make far more money in rich liberal states like California and New York than in poor conservative states like Mississippi.

    2. Mississippi, one of the cheapest states to live in has the highest poverty rate in the country.
Corruption on both sides of the political spectrum is the cause of homelessness. L.A, Nyc and SF have a large homeless issue mainly because they are so overpopulated. High populations cause higher home prices. In fact, the median home price in Bakersfield CA is 269000, lower than the median price of my hometown of Charlotte NC, a purple state but still with many conservative people, and conservative people in power. A lot of Cali’s homeless are people who come from other states on greyhounds because the rest of the country is so cold. Plus, a lot of conservative places criminalize homelessness and put people in jail, which is welfare but with dehumanization. Not saying it doesn’t happen in Cali either, but conservative people (but mostly just snobbish people, regardless of political orientation) and conservative states tend to be less sympathetic to homelessness. Interestingly, a lot of the people on a skid row documentary I watched that were interviewed were people from Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.

    3. @chris 5551 id rather be impoverished than homeless. Any day of the week. The costs of housing in conservative states is much cheaper. Much much cheaper. And the homeless there are usually imports. Most conservative states have quality of life laws in place that discourages homelessness. And they usually go to jail. And after are sent to another state usually where they originated from, mostly so they dont freeze to death.. You see you cant export your problems to other states. And then at the same time blame the states, say they do the same thing that its proven that the progressives states do. Its hypocritical. Most people move from conservative states to progressive ones for lax drug laws. As evidenced by the epidemic. Nobody intelligently chooses impoverished with a roof over your head. To even more impoverished with no roof. It takes something like drugs to prod that choice along.

    4. @chris 5551 its due to overpopulation from illegal immigrants. Less houses each year due to fires. Your lax drug laws And your wealthy pinching every penny until its a diamond. Theres no reason for a state with californias gdp to have a homelessness epidemic other than greed and the aforementioned problems. California is socialism in action and this is your rich under socialism. Non sharing or caring elitest and smug.. pontificating righteousness over the plebeians.

  8. We need more rapid migration from Mexico into California. That should help. We need to build less houses and migrate more people into America. #Dems2020

  9. That state didn’t give af. We’re not going to create low income housing, but we’ll open up parking lots. Great job with tax payer dollars and federal funding.

  10. USA politicians working round the clock to bomb and invade other nations but no time and money for needy Americans.

  11. That’s great and all but how about helping these Ameircan citizens instead of shipping in illegals when we clearly can’t take care of our own?

  12. most of the richest people in the united states live in CA and yet they have this major issue. this is what happens when you let a dem run something

  13. And exactly how many trillions was spent on the Afghan war and the new Space Force…. yet thousand booted off of food stamps, a consideration to lock up the homeless and Christianity just say “amen brother”
