  1. Because Republicans in Congress and the Senate refuse to do anything, more innocent men women and children will continue to be cut down in mass by weapons that belong on the battlefield. It will continue to happen in places of worship, stores, schools, and just about any place where large groups of people gather. What these recent mass shootings have proven, is that no place is safe, and none of us, or our kids and loved ones are safe.
The only question left to ask now is, who will it be next?

I am very sorry this sweet lady lost her Child, but there is nothing Congress can do to stop this. No Gun Law will Prevent this.

    • David J David, very well articulated but as long as the dark money is involved, nothing will be done. Trump’s political platform depends on hate for any one who is not white and this feeds his racist base. .

    • @Das Me, Sha Is that your Dad’s name?

    • Marlowe Dugger | August 8, 2019 at 12:11 PM | Reply

Satan is real in the person of trump and Moscow Mitch. Hatred is what anti-christ is all about. Love is not a part of them. Moscow Mitch calls himself the grimreaper(death)

    • @Marlowe Dugger lots of hatred in your comment

  2. If mental illness becomes part of the gun debate, then Trump’s mental illness should be part of it.

  3. Republicans want us to argue about the many causes of gun violence.
So that none of us agree.
And because we can’t agree, nothing will get done.
And the NRA gets what it wants.

    • @Kermit T. Frog
The justice system hasn’t taken guns away from Blacks. Blacks who get in trouble with the law did it to themselves. I’m a 54 year old Black man & gun owner. Don’t play that systemic racism crap with me. If you’re a law abiding citizen of any color, you have a right to own a gun. Period!

    • @Toxic Grunt Try to focus, son. We’re talking about a white nationalist who killed 22 people in El Paso with an AK47.

    • @Dave Schultz
“Mental illness causes gun violence. That’s why we want to repeal the ACA without a replacement!” – republicans.

    • @Ro G
Are you focused on the Democrat socialist Warren supporter who sympathized with ANTIFA killing 9 people in Dayton Ohio. No, that goes against your racism narrative…

  4. DITCH MITCH. The bills are here. Stop the rhetoric. Talk about Amy McGrath to ditch MITCH WHOS IN BED W THE NRA

Mass shootings are like Hollywood sequels … there will be another one along soon

    • William Dunlop
That’s why you need armed law abiding citizens to end the threat before more damage can be done.

    • Unlike the spews of Hollywood sequels, this Nightmare on Main Street America seems destined to last forever.

    • @ruth depew
So you agree with Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Mao & Castro on gun control. The KKK are also huge proponents of gun control. You can’t hang a Black man who’s armed with a riffle. Right…

    • @Toxic Grunt Yea democrats promoting gun control don’t know its racist history. Was created in urban centers to disarm blacks. Reminds me how they support racist planned parenthood. Their creators mission was to abort black babies to thin their population. Worked like a charm. Sad they are hypocrites.

  6. It’s time to allow gun toting devotees into the Senate house & bypass all security… what’s good for the kids should be good for ‘the turtle’ πŸ™„πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜‰

    • Albert Green | August 8, 2019 at 8:01 AM | Reply

I don’t allow guns around my children except with people I trust. Why?

    • @Albert Green seriously? πŸ™„ if total strangers of untrustworthy nature walk into schools & blast hot lead at kids while ‘turtle mitch’ does nothing, then it should be OK with him too if said same grubs should be allowed into the Senate chamber for target practice.. 🎯

    • So all you gun controllers are in agreement with Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Mao & Castro. Plus the KKK believed in gun control too, you can’t hang a Black man who’s armed. Right…

  7. Bobbo Morgan | August 8, 2019 at 6:52 AM | Reply

Whether you are for or against an assault rifle ban is irrelevant. It will be blocked by the Senate and if not them the Supreme Court. Trump has stacked the courts with far right incompetent stooges so America is screwed for a long time.

    • Albert Green | August 8, 2019 at 8:00 AM | Reply

When idiots like you successfully disarm the population, what can the people do when the government takes all the wealth from the country like in Venezuela?

    • Thomas Tamir | August 8, 2019 at 9:03 AM | Reply

Trump has only Cavanaugh in court. Obama has the ninth district court stacked.

    • Bobbo Morgan | August 8, 2019 at 9:08 AM | Reply

      @Thomas Tamir
Trump has installed over 100 judges in various courts. You need to check your facts.

I find it heart-breaking to watch the debate on gun control in the USA because every discussion has to start with the assumption that there are and always will be millions of guns in circulation. Try to imagine a country where the police can measure the number of rounds of ammunition fired in a year in the course of duty in single digits, where most police don’t even carry a firearm. Try to imagine how much safer you would feel. Places like this exist. This is what you should be fighting for.

    • @Toxic Grunt And your point is?

    • @Box of Frogs
Also, thanks to the gun ban in Venezuela the 50,000,000 or so people have no recourse to fight the government as they starve to death and the Chavez family is worth billions.

REMOVE the Electoral College Process – Every VOTE should count in a Presidential Election. This is not a State Issue, it is about Voters Rights and Representation. Boycott NRA who betrayed our country. #45* betrayed our country for money. Fake President, Fake Fear, Real Faith

    • I didn’t vote in 2016 but I’m planning on voting for Trump. Thanks for motivating your countrymen to vote. So important.

  10. It looks to me like the stable door is open and the horse has bolted long ago . All these high powered guns are out in the public domain and don’t think people are going to hand them back any time soon . They can pass all the laws they want but the guns will be still there

  11. Douglas Johnson | August 8, 2019 at 10:06 AM | Reply

I am for gun ban if we can ban gun everywhere in this world.

  12. MSNBC
    home of critical thinkingπŸ€ͺ

  13. 4 dead and two wounded, in a rampage. A Man with evil intent used an everyday item to do evil upon fellow humans.
Nowhere, not any news show, not any meme that I found call for the registration of, banning of knives. No one called it knife violence, not one common tater on any show I’ve seen has shown any of the righteous indignation shown just yesterday.
Where are all the concerned citizenry screaming about the atrocity of four deaths. Their Families are just as devastated, children just as fatherless.
In this instance, We recognize that it was the man doing evil not the knife. Why can’t we make the jump that it is the man doing evil not the gun?

With everything going on, the rise of white supremacy/nationalism, the drift to the hard right by Republicans behind Trump and the absolute non-negotiable stance of the NRA, one gets the sense that despite the cloak of ‘Christianity’ there is a definite amoralism that has set in on the right. Towards victims of gun violence, towards the poor and minorities, and to have any sort of discretion in the public arena. Sad.

  15. White Evangelicals made deal with the devil, crucified their plastic Jesus on their used popsicle stick. Because family values?!

  16. Medicare for All would of gotten free mental health help for those mass murderers, remember that@msnbc the next time you smear Bernie SandersπŸ–•

    Amendment II

“A WELL REGULATED MILITIA, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Would someone who loves the second amendment please define for me what the words at the beginning of the amendment “WELL REGULATED” and “MILITIA” mean and why second amendment lovers never mention what the amendment is all about?

  19. Nothing changes if you dont VOTE!! End the gop fear and hate
