That has been the surprise. What is anyone traveling to an obscure city in China for? The must have great exotic food.
It was downplayed until the stock market became sick and started coughing up losses.

@Ty Soro Its not the governors’ job to be prepared for a pandemic! Their job is to provide for their states. It is a whole different jurisdiction. States do have their own Emergency Preparedness and I am sure that has some sort of plan in place for pandemics, it always does, but it is the federal governments’ job to coordinate things on a national level and provide supplies and an overall plan. Trump just doesn’t know his own job description! He wishes all he had to do was attend to the stock market, because that is all he WANTS to do. But IN REALITY job #1 is to protect US. And he has really let us down.
@Ty Soro No, to be fair,EVERY OTHER COUNTRY has had a much better response than the U.S. WHO put U.S. at the bottom in terms of preparedness. Look at Dr. Tedros’ press briefings since January and see what he said about the U.S.’ response.
