    1. @Jim Brown Project much? Political hacks never find common ground with those they disagree with. What was my OP? Do you understand the words you type? Or are you just a robotic parrot?

    2. @Hardcore Herbivore He voted not guilty, btw. Agreeing with his words is nice, but whats it add up to when he just does the opposite.

    3. @The Cold Dark Romney voted to convict numbskull. Delusional and paranoid? 😏 This could be fun…

    4. @The Cold Dark you fucking moron! Where do you get your news from? He voted GUILTY loud and clear on Article 1, which relates to the corruption of our fucked up president, and no one ever disputed the facts of article 1, not even his lawyers, they only complained about the process

  1. A fair trial with witnesses, testimony and documents is the only way to settle this. If tRump is innocent he should not be afraid of the TRUTH.

    1. @slushymatis There was NO crime committed. If he had committed a crime, then why is it that the House did not accuse him of committing crimes?
Why would they have left the only Constitutional basis for impeachment, out of their articles of impeachment?
      That doesn’t even make sense.
      Go read the Constitution!

    2. @Nunya D. Biz Are you on crack? You must be.

The court proceedings happen in the Senate. The senators are the jurors. Witness testimony happens for them to help them reach a verdict.

You’ve clearly been poisoning your brain with Fox and Facebook.

    3. @Nunya D. Biz There were many crimes committed. The house Dems are fucking stupid because they didn’t point out the CRIMES Trump committed and impeached him off of those crimes. They were too vague on the impeachment charges.

    1. I would never vote for him but that does not mean I don’t respect the tough decision he made today. He’s always been a gracious man. He will sleep well tonight and deservedly.

    2. @Jessy Caballero trump was not popular among utahns. Folks can be conservative and not like this president. It’s called policy briefs not cult of personality.

  2. American History will portray you as the kind of leader our founding fathers envisioned. Heads up my man.

    1. Bob Sullivan you realize there were 2 votes today. He voted guilty to abuse of power and not guilty to obstruction. If you want to report the story, report the whole story, not just the part that makes him bad to the propoganda machine.

    2. @jaystonepk
So….You are unhappy …. Where in Romneys sanctimonious speech did you hear him say he would vote Not Guilty on Article Two???
Romney is buttering both sides of the slice…..And, as is typical, people like you are just fine with that.

    3. Mike G Romney split his vote on the articles of impeachment: guilty on abuse of power and not guilty on obstruction of Congress.

    1. So it’s not weird that Romney was pushing for the secretary of state position under Trump and when he was passed up held a grudge? He wanted to be in Trumps cabinet and didn’t get it.

    1. Precisely!! I emailed him an expression of gratitude and admiration for his courage. I urge all to do the same. He’ll need the moral support now that he’ll be surrounded by the den of cutthroats out for revenge. No doubt he will “go through some things” (to use the words of our totally innocent and poor victimized president).

  3. I can just imagine the looks he was getting from some of his colleagues, especially the ones who agree with him and couldn’t summon the courage to vote against Trump.

    1. @andrew phillips First point, Obama is no longer President. Second, what should he have been impeached for when he was President? Seriously give me an example of the worse things that Obama did.

    2. @bobbybrown1967able You people hardly know anything because main stream media covered it I bet u if they supported Trump u wud not have heard about it either.

  4. Wow! Romney has some integrity. It’s refreshing, yet sad that he’s just about the only Republican who does.

    1. Integrity? U think he did this because of integrity? Here’s the real reason Romney did what he did. Read the article. Even Romneys former spokesman, Rick Gorka, said that Romney is motivated by bitterness. Do u also forget that Mitt was the CEO of Bain Capital? It was his firm’s deceitfulness that popularised the phrase “vulture capitalism” Integrity???????

    2. Again because Mitt voted the other way he needs the respect and leave the drama out of it. Plain and simple. We all knew what was going to happen. But we weren’t sure which republicans were going to vote against Trump. If their votes were confidential without saying it aloud. That would have been a different story. No one wants to lose their job. Not even the POTUS.

    3. @Sir Robin Not-so-brave Didn’t know. Thanks for the info. I suppose in the midst of such cowardice, any push back seems to look more like integrity. Still, if 20 other republicans did the same, it would have been a more positive outcome.

    4. Reavis Mitchell
He just has hatred for President Trump! It won’t be long until you hate him again. Rock on President Trump. He will win in a landslide in 2020!

    5. @Mom25 Hopefully not. Trump’s total disregard for co-equal branches of government and the rule of law is disgusting. Not a good way to go. This is despotic and dictatorial behavior. He’s undoing the Constitution.

  5. This is inspiring and heart touching and admirable and he will go down as a hero in his footnote. I identify with dems but I felt truly inspired by Mitt Romney. God Bless You and thank you

    1. (laughs) ya a real hero on a bs impeachment case. He’s just upset Trump slammed him for losing the election against Obama.

  6. I’m proud to have you in my state, Mitt. I’m a democrat but I almost definitely will re-elect you! Your integrity is beyond party-lines.

    1. Ya i doubt he’ll win any election again after being a turncoat. He’s been banned from future GOP events, and will likely run as a DNC if anything next time.

    2. S Day people have short memories. They’ll likely have forgotten this by the time he’s up for re-election.

    1. Very well said Ryan. Either of them would have been excellent presidents that I would have been proud of. Well spoken and intelligent, the polar opposite of trump.

    2. I commend Romney for his courageous speech, but as an atheist, I must opine that ethics and morality do not need to be exclusively faith based.

  7. He earned my respect. Thank you for doing the right thing even though it will not help your political career. He just reminded me John McCain, I probably do not agree with many of his political ideas but I respect him

  8. Takes massive bravery to do this in your career, stand alone like this. You have my respect Mitt Romney.

    1. When he needed Trump support in 2012 he begged for it, Trump welcomed him in one of his hotels and endorsed him and gave him $$$. Trumps call was clear: he never commited a crime, it was just the SUPPOSITION. Romney is a hipocrite and back stabber, he doesnt deserve any respect.
