A pardon from pence would only cover federal crimes, it cannot be used for impeachment crimes, or state crimes. so his only option is to resign. Pence’s answer didn’t actually deny that he discussed the Bidens.
His answer pretty much confirms it. He said he discussed the same issues as Trump raised in the call, and Trump specifically discussed Biden and his son.
The defense is : it is against corruption, which could be true IF the subject was brought up by the Ukraine asking help from the US , that didn’t happen..it was the US (president) asking Ukraine (and afterwards china) for an investigation on corruption (targeting a political opponent) so the complete corruption defense is a fraud especially because it was supposed to be a favor (though). Secondly a lot of actions where handled by Trumps personal lawyer, making it a personal adventure not a state affair. So I really don’t understand why all these republicans are using these kind of defenses, it really has no validity what so ever.
