Between seven years and nine years.
What Barr means is he wanted it reduced.
Good point. I will add that it has always been up to the judge. Barr is pretending like he’d never heard of sentencing guidelines before.
Barr should resign if it’s impossible for him to do his job.

It sure does. Stone was already facing a sweetheart deal of a sentence. Trump just tried to make it sweeter so he wouldn’t have to pardon him. If the original 7 to 9 year sentence is enacted, look for another Trump pardon coming right after the election.
