Neal Katyal tells Lawrence O’Donnell that the way President Trump has reacted to the smoking gun—the transcript of the July 25th phone call with Ukraine’s President Zelenskiy—is in and of itself an impeachable offense. Aired on 12/5/19.

    1. I think you really need to look at the whole thing yourself… its not really a smokin gun… its more a procedure to be ashamed of..

And I;m lookin at it as an outsider… this is all wrong.

  1. “Smoking gun”? We have a suspect covered in the victims blood, holding the murder weapon and claiming self-defense, while his friends are denying that there’s even a body. We have hit bat-bleep levels of crazy.

    1. @Sterling Pound are you sure he’s not just hiding from the Feds? Rudy probably won’t come stateside again, ever.

    2. The amazing thing is. the people who are hsting the most is the folks from the South. The South receives more welfare more money than any other states. 700 000 food stamps cut. Medical When are they going to realize this. Southern not all of course are still fightening the war. Civil war.

    1. @Hilariousness that’s interesting. I do know the difference. In discovery, which this charade did not provide, we’d have a lot more to say about this including from the stenographer. POTUS asked about Crowdstike and if the Atty General could get to the bottom of the server issue. He asked if he could look into why the prosecutor was fired and that he’d have Rudy follow up. He said there was a lot of talk about Biden’s son and that Biden stopped the prosecution and that POTUS wanted to know the truth and referred him to the Atty General. Biden bragged he stopped the prosecution, so could you look into it
Noting the treaty also aforementioned, Hilariousness, how is what he said illegal, criminal, or even a misdemeanor?

    2. @Mark Keller That detail is not dismissive of the whole thing since the impeachment case in Congress hinges on it and the allegation of bribery closely interpreted for quid pro quo. Biden bragged he stopped the prosecution, so could look into it. Noting the treaty also aforementioned, @Mark Keller, how is what he said illegal, biberty, criminal, or even a misdemeanor? I’m struggling except your guy may be the criminal and the POTUS, the top executive of the US Govt. Would be negligent if he didn’t look into criminality of high ranking US officials. Then what?

    3. @stink kop Lt Col Vindman was on the call! He testified to that! He complained the notes on the call were inaccurate because he heard the call and was on the call! Are you paying attention to the hearings at all?!! Clearly not!

  2. Just think, 3 short years ago a persons expertise was respected and had sway in this country, but now Trump has so successfully villainized experts and the educated that all the facts and proof in the world amounts to nothing and 40% of the population cheers on and enables the idea of a dimwitted king above the law. We are now living in Orwell’s 1984.

    1. Despite Trump referring to it as a transcript, it’s really a memo. It reduces a half hour call to 9 minutes. What was cut out? What stayed in was damning enough, but what were the parts Trump thought were so bad they had to deleted before release? The true transcript is locked away on a server designed for far more important calls.

    2. @Car Crazy I think you have a misunderstanding, no I do not think that the calls should be public. There is an investigation of this President, there is a reason to have the transcript of the call, Stop being condescending my contact with you is over…bye.

  4. Turley was clearly paid to make the statements he made and any lawyer who sells his soul to the devil like this deserves all he gets. He looks and speaks like the slimy creep he is. Fits like a glove into the Meadows, Jordan and Nunes camp.

    1. yes, and Turley lost his reputation as a lawyer, if there was one. So its right, everything Trump touches dies. Here the reputation of Turley. I hope, for him, they paid him more than 33 silverdollar.

    2. @christoph paessler: I’m sure Turley has a brilliant future on Dancing with the Stars: he knows how to follow a lead, spin, pivot, and perform (moral) gymnastics. #DWTS🕺🏼Sean Spicer was karma in motion.

    1. agree. i wanna see what they have on nonuts nunes. maybe he will win one of his frivolous lawsuits when he is in prison,

    2. @Sharp Shooter me too, he really got on my nerves, but a favorite moment of the hearings was when the daily beast article was submitted, the expression on his face was priceless.

  5. The Republican side often answers questions with “Oh, I don’t know.” Stupidity seems to be a prerequisite to join that party or this administration these days.

  6. Trump- professional magician or 3 card monte dealer. Biography title–Trump Presidency or the conning of America

  7. It seems that there is no longer anyone in the Trump Regime with a sufficient grasp of reality to have any understanding of right and wrong, legal and illegal, or constitutional and unconstitutional. It is sad for them, sad for America, and sad for the planet upon which America resides.

  8. Neal Katyal, thank you for defending us against these clearly impeachable acts. I just wish you’d do it before the Supreme Court.

  9. It is easy to progress quickly on impeachment when the President says “no” to requests or investigations for 3 years. His obstruction requires speed.
