Irony: Trump Ally Cries ‘Regicide’, Claims Trump Didn’t Abuse Power | MSNBC

As President Trump continues to stonewall key evidence and witnesses from Congress, he refers to House Dems impeachment inquiry as a ‘scam.’ Trump ally Joseph diGenova calls the whistleblowers ‘suicide bombers,’ and accuses House Dems of ‘regicide.’ In 2008, Mike Pence addressed Congress on impeachment, arguing ‘the business of high crimes and misdemeanors’ is based on ‘if the person serving… puts their own interests’ ahead of ‘public service.’ The Daily Beast’s Betsy Woodruff Swan weighs in. Aired on 10/09/19.

    1. corryjookit your fantasy of having your despot rise to dictator would be better printed on a fan fiction site. You may have a good vocabulary and basic knowledge of spellcheck for a teenager, but you’re still … just a child. And you don’t have the power to arrest dogshit.

    1. Great. Now I’m going to have nightmares about that freak’s toadstool. Am I crazy for thinking all the characters in Spanky Bonespurtle’s circle make an especially disgusting cabal of monsters? DiGenova calling the whistleblowing taking place “regicide” is quite telling…has anyone told the idiots at Faux Snooze that we DON’T WANT A KING in the USA??!! We’re a constitutional democratic republic, NOT A MONARCHY FFS!! You want royals? Move somewhere else, DiGenova.

    2. @Samsonian Is DeGenova one the Fox “lawyers” recently hired by an oligarch? ( ostensibly to get his message to trump’s ears) What a sleaze…

    1. Ah, at last, Mike Pence got some action. Now……. I need mental health professionals to remove that image from my memory.

    1. @Gabe Dudley that simplistic juvenileview is going to bite us in the butt. The economy is not doing well. Look at your pockets and now isis gets a second chance. But keep your limited understanding limited.

    2. @Gabe Dudley you know nazi’s stree predominantly right wing Republicans right. Again these arguments just show a great level of ignorance in basic understanding of issues

    3. @LAVIN20 they were socialist moron😅😅 just like the dems are pushing. Just like the kkk was created by dems along with jim crow. Take a look at antifas symbol and then look at the paramilitary wing of the communist party of 1933. Its a mirror image. Google it and educate yourself my friend

    4. @Gabe Dudley We need to end wars by winning them not by abandoning our allies because our leader is too scared to fight. Since when has the GoP cared about lowering health care cost? Also, Trump supports Nazi’s he said there were good people on both sides, regarding to Neo Nazi’s and equality protesters.

    1. @Gabe Dudley and after all is said and done you can eat 💩💩you MAWA hat wearing moron.🤣🤣🤣 That racist POS is going down.

    2. @Raven 2017 No terrorist is beyond the reach of the US Military. We don’t need to occupy a country to send a message that ISIS will be held accountable for terrorist acts against our country.

    3. Raven 2017 gabby’s English is weird… talk about sewing seeds of discontent. Putty poo was scared of Hillary… and Americans are not used to Russian propaganda… we are catching up

    1. is regi another djt alias ? aka “John Barron” (or “John Baron”), “John Miller” and “David Dennison”.

    1. @Fadesound Exactly ! They think he is the King Of Repulican Kengaroos . They don’t need to follow the law.

    1. @SeaChange Mix you only think what your simple mind is programmed to think. Whos fighting to lower drug prices? Who is in bed with big pharma? Start by researching that? Im sorry the truth hurts my friend. Thats the power of the ego. Let it go and accept what has been obvious since we were screwed over by the dnc in 2016. I was hurt too but I am so thankful now I woke up then. We have all been deceived

    2. @Gabe Dudley This is the funniest thing I’ve seen today. Frump just announced nothing will be
Put through the Senate until Dems quit investigating him. He screwed himself again.
Not all people who are dying are dems. Plenty
of independents and repugs, too. It seems people who cant afford their meds knows no political party. I don’t
believe it would happen anyway. I live in a state
with a worldwide Big Pharma Corp. They are one of the largest contributors to the GOP.
They have lobbyists out the butt, who spend more time in D.C. than their home state. Really think
      that this will happen?
      Very Doubtful.

    3. Rene’ Placek excellent response. I am an independent and every time these clowns speak, little Gabby, it just pushes me to the left. Do they think we are this stupid? Trump is doing this crap right in front of our eyes. He needs to go

  1. Can’t have regicide without a king… did that guy really think he was helping his point by indirectly referring to the president as a “king”? The only suicide here is the mass career suicide of everyone deciding that this orange hill was the one they want to die on.

    1. I’m curious to see if any Trump supporters try to use that word, just like they picked up on cabal, witch hunt, coup, and a few others I can’t recall at the moment.
Oh, and now it seems we’re suicide bombers.
      I didn’t get that memo.

  2. Trump has no training for the job he’s holding. How many people can get hired without the proper training??? Trump is not a politician. Trump is NOT A PRESIDENT!!!

    1. @David Perrin I know he is
A pathological liar, so if he and others around him admit to crimes are they guilty or are they lying on
themselves? Everyone knows he has surpassed
the 10K mark with his lying
      self.

    2. @Kevin stevens Now you are an expert on what innocence looks like? Oh god, that’s rich. Call me what you will, I accept I am what you choose to see. Trump is innocent and stop saying he is not, until you have proof of his conviction. Sorry, for me laws mean something. Partisan rhetoric is toilet paper.

    3. @David Perrin Obviously,
trump is a weak leader. A smart leader will get advice from people who are familiar with the situations ,weigh the pros and cons and not react
On a whim. By the way, trump thinks he and Putin
have all the answers. trump has never met a dictator he didn’t love.

    4. @Kevin stevens So what court has convicted Trump of breaking any law? I’m waiting for your evidence. Conviction in a court of his peers. I am sad that you are buying the left’s narratives – they are all about fear. And that is why I say its fascism. Believe as they do or you will be impaled on their spear of righteousness. Today it might be me, tomorrow they won’t hesitate to use it on you.

    5. @David Perrin We are not in a court of law, right now.
Sometimes, you need to evaluate for yourself. The facts are what they are.
The guy has been a conman his whole life.

    1. Johnny Wadd No guarantee that being committed will protect us ! If trump has a psychiatrist who is a trump loyalist he would be released into the world….no protection for the whole Bigly world!

  3. The word regicide literally means killing a king. Since when did we get a king. Oh, that’s right, Trump with his 52 court jesters who used to be called senators.

    1. Linda G
The court jesters have destroyed their own reputations and legacies for the orange buffoon.
      Simply moronic.

  4. so, they planned to stack the SCOTUS to save him, and it could well happen because as we know Republicans are traitors, they put personal interest and party before the US Constitution and The People they are supposed to serve. Make no mistake, that’s the plan. ANd by association, anyone who supported and voted Republican will forever live in infamy when it’s all said and done.

  5. George Washington: “I cannot tell a lie.”

Donald Trump: “I will not tell the truth.”

    Republicans: “We don’t care.”

    1. @Doug H There you go again, disparaging my free speech. F off. I am a foot soldier for my president, and I have lots of company.

    2. @David Perrin You seem to know what free speech means. What do you say about your president attacking the media and your disparaging of the media? Aren’t you contradicting yourself? And YOU’RE disparaging others on this thread. Again, liars forgot what they lied about.

    3. Ironically, the honest George Washington most likely lied here (or rather overstated his difficulty telling a lie), and Trump obviously didn’t lie _here._
It has been suggested Washington had an autism spectrum disorder. Contrary to popular belief, this does NOT automatically mean illness, disorder, not even necessarily an _overall_ disadvantage though. Fi the discussion https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3182210/ (The Level and Nature of Autistic Intelligence II: What about Asperger Syndrome?) ends as follows:
“Undoubtedly, autistics’ intelligence is atypical and may not be as easily assessed and revealed with standard instruments. But given the essential and unique role that RPM has long held in defining general and fluid intelligence (e.g., [37]), we again suggest that both the level and nature of autistic intelligence have been underestimated. Thus, while there has been a long tradition of pursuing speculated autistic deficits, it is important to consider the possibility of strength-based mechanisms as underlying autistics’ atypical but genuine intelligence.”
Lying tends to be more difficult for people with Asperger syndrome (now called high functioning autism, or HFA), but not impossible. HFA is characterized, at the very least on average, by thinking in a more rational / logical way. This should logically reduce the chances of thinking in an erratic way, and it would seem reasonable to suggest that this might be related to less of a tendency to lie, or to believe things for which there is no or insufficient sound evidence.
In line with this, http://www.scienceandreligiontoday.com/2011/09/26/why-are-high-functioning-autistics-more-likely-to-be-atheists-or-agnostics/ mentions:
“Individuals who self-identified as having an autistic spectrum disorder (usually Asperger’s syndrome) were only half as likely to identify as Christian or Jewish, and were twice as likely to identify as an atheist or agnostic.”
This might be related to the fact that in 2016 the vast majority of the highly religious voters voted for Trump. For example, 81% of evangelical voters voted Trump; that was the highest evangelical score ever for a presidential candidate ever.

To an atheist with HFA who is discussing religion with a religious believer, the pro-religion argument “Oh, you’re approaching it with logic, but religion isn’t a logic thing” often sounds incomprehensible or even frustrating. To them, this is precisely a good, logically convincing, and indeed VERY _sound_ argument *_against_* religion…

    1. David Perrin why would I spend anytime listening to a liar and a con man little Davey. Your crap does not work. It proves what a gullible moron you are.
