    1. @Richard C Manufacturing is an industry where greed runs. Everything revolves around making it cheaper & increased quantity so this sector usually goes to China & Mexico. The CEO just pockets the profit….save money is the game !!

    1. Kim Ber : This is not about Trudeau, this is about Canadian health care workers not getting the already ordered and paid products to protect themselves against COVID and other infectious diseases while taking care for patients. And this so because the materials are « legally » stolen/pirated. That is unacceptable behaviour, especially when the thief ought to be your best and closest friend.

    2. D. Then maybe Canada shouldn’t have been complaining about American politics that didn’t affect them. Why was Canada criticizing Trump for not stopping 3M from selling masks to other countries? Then when Trump stops 3M, Canada fails to realize that’s what they were just asking for, and didn’t think they’d be included in the international ban that they were asking for in the first place. Instant karma I believe it’s called.

    3. Ben Flippin : Then let’s stop delivering the pulp needed to make those masks. We suddenly get no masks? Then you suddenly get no materials (especially pulp) to make those, so you no masks for you either. Karma you said? There you go!

    4. D. Then stop. The masks will still be made or imported regardless. It’s just that Canada complains about Trump not stopping 3M, then he stops 3M, and they’re mad he stopped 3M. Mad at Trump no matter what.

    1. @André Delhaise Scheer is just mad he caught caught scamming lol

Immediately after lecturing JT on having no moral guidelines lol

  1. It’s always drove me insane how dependant we are on the states and China. We should be producing our own products especially safety gear and food.

    1. @BigMug Bob USA sent their manufacturing to China too. Manufacturing is an industry where greed runs. Everything revolves around making it cheaper & increased quantity so this sector usually goes to China & Mexico. The CEO just pockets the profit….save money is the game !!

    2. BigMug Bob Tear apart your own car and see how many “Chinese junks” you moron can count! at least the Chinese still sending millions of medical goods to Canada. and Chinese Business association in Canada still dispensing PPE to the local community.

    3. The government would have to subsidize the construction of large agrifood projects in order to decrease Canada’s reliance on imported food.

    1. Sorry, that wasn’t a wake up call… That was a concussion. A bit late to be crying about where things get made now.

  2. The North should not forget
High time for canadian companies to shine and new companies to grow

    1. @waldroj01 It’s greed not taxes. Manufacturing is an industry where greed runs. Everything revolves around making it cheaper & increased quantity so this sector usually goes to China & Mexico. The CEO just pockets the profit….save money is the game !!

    2. Only China is be able to ignore strict environmental rules we sign up for by voting Liberal. China pollutes to make our stuff so we can virtue signal about how green we are.

    3. @No Chatter actually we tax the life out of businesses here in canada.. literally … that’s why they all move to the states

  3. Ford is really stepping up to the plate. I’ve never been a huge fan but I’m really impressed with how he’s handling this crisis and how he’s representing my province.

    1. Very well said, I’m proud of being Canadian. We are together on this . 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

    2. Honestly same. I’ve spent a lot of time complaining about what he’s done in the past, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how hes been dealing with this situation

    3. Wow it took covid 19 to make Canadians nationalists. .never thought a Canadian premier and Canadians will think and talk like trump. .lmao

    1. Rich Ard we do produce oil, we just don’t refine it. We send it to America to refine and then buy it back at a much higher price. those treehuggers are to blame for that

    2. @Triple Panini we deffinetly refine it here, my city is all based on oil refineries we have imperial oil refineries, shell, suncor, and a bunch more.

    3. Canada can certainly make their own stuff “ but” how they gonna compete the wages of 10cent an hour from other countrys ?

  4. America is going to go through their own hell during this. We cannot rely on them. Let’s make the things we need here.

    1. If I need a box, I go to USA, if I need a bottle I go to the USA, if I decide to be patriotic pay little more, I go to Canadian manufacturer and then see same box and bottle imported from the USA. It’s been like this 20 years I’ve been in business. Were a public sector economy run by public sector leaders.why is this a surprise.

    1. @Eric Pratt And it is not only my opinions, it is opinions all men who have enough expereince with w.

  5. I’ll gladly pay a little more to see that beautiful Canadian flag on everything I buy. 🇨🇦 Made in Canada🇨🇦 for Canada by Canada. It’s about fkn time.

    1. If you go to Walmart or Home Depot or any other store you will see about 90 percent of the products are made in China or elsewhere. You will also notice how expensive these items are. The CEO’S of these companies are making billions because the cost of buying these products as re so low.
Manufacturing these same products here in Canada should not automatically make goods more expensive. I am sure these CEO’s will still make huge profits.

    2. @MAF MAF If it’s owned by Canadians, that’s socialism.

About time you all start coming around.
