The family of Samuel Costa, a five-year-old boy from Brazil with a special condition effecting his organs, is speaking out as they face deportation after Trump’s ends protection for immigrants in the U.S. receiving critically needed medical attention. Madeline Cronin, lawyer for the Costa family, says the family received a letter which orders them to ‘leave the country or be put in deportation.’

@isa di…Over 95% of U.S. children are vaccinated against mumps, most within the first 3 years after birth. The reason these kids in detention are getting mumps to begin with is the deplorable conditions they are kept in. The close contact and lack of proper hygiene is a perfect way for mumps and other childhood diseases to incubate and spread. The mumps epidemic in these camps is happening because of Trump’s inhumane policies toward immigrants. It would be very easy to set up immunization schedules for these children…but Trump doesn’t even give them soap of toothbrushes.
