    1. Mayor Pete I think is just what this country needs. Community and courage along with self deprecating sense of humor. GO PETE!

    2. Pete actually volunteered to go to war for his country.
Trump, on his last Vietnam visit, trying to out Obama, Obama, was a block away from the
      “Hanoi Hilton”.
      It is now a museum.
      He didn’t go there.
He again, insulted not just John McCain, but all US veterans (living and deceased) who were held there.
As Trump actually said earlier: He doesn’t think soldiers who get captured are heros.

    1. @Arashi Mokuzai There is a huge difference between someone who is physically blind and someone whose eyes work but whose “dain bramage” is so severe he can perceive only a distorted reality that exists only just past the end of his nose.

  1. Obama was stymied by the Republican majority. That’s why Dems need to take control of Government for 8 years so course corrections can be accomplished.

    1. I think Obama lacked Pete’s ability to communicate plainly and simply with every-day Americans. I believe this will be a crucial difference that will allow Pete to get more done. I hope Moscow Mitch’s days are numbered! That will help the new president regardless of who we put up.

    2. Well you wont find corruption at the gop depths in the Democratic party. So not as motivated as the repiblicans are to do what it takes to win at all costs.

    3. @Jane everyone in politics is in it for the money. You need to find the one who does it while looking out for the little guy.

  2. Every time I’ve seen him in an interview Mayor Pete has impressed me as a really sharp guy. I don’t think he has a chance this time around, but I have a feeling Pete isn’t going anywhere and that’s a good thing for us.

    1. I disagree about Pete’s chances. He understands ground-level politics and has timed his ground game well. By the end of this month he’ll have 100 staffers across 20 offices in Iowa; nearly as many in NH. When people hear his message, they like it.

    2. They don’t want to give Beto any air time, but look at this dude trying to push boring Buttegieg on us by putting him side by side with Obama! He is CERTAINLY no Obama!

  3. Mayor Pete is the only candidate that I’d vote for. He’s not a far to the left democrat, whereas those candidates will scare the rust belt, the mid-west and Pennsylvania into voting for Trump. They are currently settling in with what’s in their pocketbook and don’t want new fantasy proposals at their expense. I know it’s a long shot (but, then again, there’s always that possibility) that Pete would get in the W.H. now, but if he were to, he would do a better job than the celebrity-in-chief–and would be trustworthy. Unlike Trump, his vocabulary is impeccable and his IQ stretches far above Trump’s, he knows right from wrong, admits when he makes an obvious mistake, a military veteran who thinks the military is working for Americans, will show his tax returns, will prove that he’s not a criminal, will unite Americans-and overall, he’s a really good, decent human being.

    1. Blue Beta Who has ever won the election without corporate money? I am glad they are at least putting their money behind Pete instead of his competition.

    2. @Blue Beta Those are the donations of EMPLOYEES – is your favorite candidate so week that it is necessary to lie about others?

    3. @indri PACs and corporate entities. But yeah I guess in wrong. Even though the data is right there for anyone to see. Ho hum. Drown yourself.

  4. Mayor Pete would make a great president. He would bring service, intellect, and integrity back to Whitehouse. These are things America desperately needs.

    1. Absolutely NOT! Black people are NOT going to vote for Buttegieg! He is boring, funny-looking, and has a police brutality problem. The media wants to push Buttegieg because they are trying to AVOID Beto who is really the one cut out for the job!

    2. Douglas Jones. Let’s not forget he could also bring back “CLASS” to the White House, instead of that gawdy family that’s there now!

  5. Buttigieg is exactly the man we need to lead us to meet the myriad challenges, immediate and distant, facing our nation. He is an educated visionary, a military veteran with business consulting experience and two terms of hands-on experience transforming a dying Midwestern city into a growing city with real hope for the future.

    1. And the corporate monies he is accepting. He looks and sounds good, But ill take someone who is funded by the people.. #BERNIE

    2. @Blue Beta – I really hope you crazed Bernie supporters won’t just stay home next year if he doesn’t win the nomination like you did in 2016. This election is extremely important, and we already have our work cut out for us without worrying about immature people pouting and refusing to vote because their guy isn’t on the ballot.

    3. @TheLotusFlower you can vote for people that accept tons of large corporate donor money. That is your right. It’s a stupid choice seeing as how that has worked out so well thus far.

  6. Give Trump a break he is stupid and dose not have all his faculties . Republicans are using him like the big sap he is. Vote for the educated not a bunch of trailer parkers.

  7. Great analysis of his strategy. I’m for him all the way
He will be the president that solves problems not make them

  8. Biden doesn’t have enough oomph or intellect. Vote Mayor Pete. … OK, if you can’t do that, Biden would be a good choice too, as long as you vote Democrat.

    1. Exactly, Amy wouldn’t be a bad choice either. Frankly it angers me that the Berniecrats are pulling out their routine from 2016 — my way or the highway. It’s a great way to lose.

  9. I am 55 and I always vote. I have never been more excited about a candidate before. He answers all the questions with complexity in a way that everyone can understand. Joe and Bernie, love you but please step aside. It is just not your time anymore.

  10. If you’d ask me to paint a picture of what I would want a president to be, or even look like, I’d come up with a Pete Buttigieg, the exact opposite of Trump in every way you can imagine.

  11. You cannot keep recycling old politicians and expect change. Too much history, too much hate.. too much self-righteousness. If we do not move and allow younger politicians to step up and take charge we are all screwed. Actually no, their screwed. #oldfartsretire #Fortheloveofgod! Tend to your grandchildren please.

  12. Allow me one more time to but in: Elder statesmen should, in my view, should know when to bow out gracefully, and not insist that a new cast be made for a coin of small duration.
