   My dear Peter,

   The Judge granted us leave to apply for Judicial Review on the question that it is arguable Bruney is disqualified. I accept he did not grant the injunctions, but it a matter of discretion. We will look at the ruling on Wednesday to decide on the way forward.

   In the meantime, Bruney will sit as a member with the serious cloud of disqualification. hanging over his head. The matter now goes to trial.

   If you want to call that a lose, so be it.

   The lawyers for Ambrose George (who also claims to be acting on behalf of the other members of Cabinet) asked the court for “Interim Remedies and Relief” as follows:
   13. An interim
   injunction restraining Mr.
   Dave Bruney from
   acting as a member of the Integrity
   Commission or having access to the records,
   files and other information
   or complaint submitted
   to the Third
   Respondent (the Integrity Commission) by the Applicant
   or any other
   member of the Cabinet
   of Dominica pending final determination of this application. 14. An interim injunction
   restraining the Third
   Respondents from having
   any meeting or considering any
   matter involving or
   concerning the Applicant and any other member of the Cabinet of Dominica in the presence of or with Dave Bruney pending final determination of this application. 15. An order requiring
   the Third Respondent
   to recover any
   information, documents or
   material which it may
   have been given
   to Mr. Dave Bruney pending the determination of this application.

   In the words of one of the lawyers for George Justice Cottle “did not grant the injunctions”.
   I wonder whether the lawyer for George who claims to be “very happy” with the decision would be kind enough to share with us the following:
   1) the reasons why Justice Cottle did not grant the injunctions2) the comments of Justice Cottle regarding the appointment of so called “activist” members of political parties to commissions like the Integrity Commission3) the comments of Justice Cottle regarding the affidavits of Ministers George and Savarin in support of their claim that Dave Bruney is not a person of “high public standing”
   Not all the lawyers for George were in the Court for Justice Cottle’s decision but presumably all of them would be fully briefed by now.

   Unlike you, we have no intention of bashing the Judge. We respect the Judge and his judgment. However,I suppose now that he very Judge who found you highly irresponsible will now be promoted to sainthood by you.

   We are happy with the grant of leave. This means that the Judge is satisfied that there is a real risk that Bruney is disqualified. Naturally, we would have been happier with the whole hog. But for now the whole legs will do and the cloud of disqualification hangs over his head!.

   Also, this is an interlocutory ruling. Its not the end of the road. We can appeal. We will decide by Wednesday whether or not we will appeal the other matters and reasons, and the refusal to grant interim injunctions.

   Alternatively, we may go straight to a trial. At the trial, Spags John and Bruney may well have to give evidence, and Angelo our star witness! Oh what a wonderful day that will be! Go is good.

   So rest assured, we are not unhappy at all. We have two feet in the door and, we may find out from the Court of Appeal, if we appeal, whether we enter fully and get the whole hog.

   In the meantime, you should continue to raise funds to pay KPB and fight Bubbles. You day too will come!
