@D Antonio this pointless argument again. What you don’t understand is mortality rate. Last year, there were 45 million REPORTED flu cases in US, and 61000 deaths. Numbers of infected should be greater as there are more people who had the flu who don’t go to a hospital. Death rate for this virus is much higher. Mortality rate for the flu is 0.13, while it is 2.2 for coronavirus. Plus, that is what Chinese admit, so numbers are probably much worse. Also, they are burning dead bodies with no funerals. They didn’t do that with the flu, or SARS. They did it with the Black Death, small pox etc. Clearly, this virus is a lot worse. So please educate yourself.

He blamed the Government and I am sorry but every country has Government Appointed Specialized Inspectors working with C.I.T.E.S. documentation in which is the legal importation & exportation of both live stock & animals for the pet trade. It does not include prepackaged meats and such but all live animals ONLY. These Government Officials must match the live stock and animals to the paperwork , to the species and for health right there in certain destinated areas of the airport.
In the USA for instance, there is 4 ports for this. Michael Cole is the inspector for the southern region for instance and for years, I worked along side of him. But again, they are all Government inspectors. So obviously who ever was the Government inspector for China, obviously did not do his or her job. This is the reason, I believe the China Government is to blame and this doctor was correct. If a International country wants to hold China accountable, simply follow the C.I.T.I.E.S. paperwork to the time these imported animals came in and match it to the inspector responsible for that time frame for that region but regardless, it was a government official that did this. If you all care to review the process on C.i.t.e.s. , all this information is online.

It was incredibly brave for him to speak out and agreed to a CNN interview knowing the risks. I’m just so sorry that no one could protect him, not even CNN. But I am also not surprised. It happened before with a doctor, in the CDC I think it was, the doctor was killed and dropped off in a ditch the next day. Forgot the virus it was called, think it was mixed into a vaccine for the flu some time back, which killed some children and people. People called them out, but no investigation was done.
The name “whistleblower” needs to be changed to something that sounds more heroic, these people are selfless and brave.
