Consequential week in impeachment inquiry – The Day That Was | MSNBC

It was a consequential week in the impeachment inquiry, as closed-door testimonies painted a picture of President Trump’s efforts to withhold aid to pressure Ukraine. The president is making GOP support more difficult by the day, including his recent announcement that the G-7 summit will be held at his resort in Doral, Florida, among other unforced errors.

  1. Republicans are starting to turn, slowly. At least those who the Russians haven’t bought or have kompromat on.

  2. The longer he is in office, the more damage he causes. Dems need to hurry this up so we can get him out and repair the damage he’s done.

    1. @Sipje Dekat im going to ignore your first paragraph for the simple sake of me already admitting i dont know if pulling out of syria was a good idea, not to mention i do not claim to know all the intricacies of that region and if you think you do understand them all then i thiink you should really evaluate your own self being that that region is way to complex for anyone who hasnt deeply studied it for decades.
you just claimed that ALL traditional allies publicly claim they dont rely on the US.. now would you point me to a location where i can look up that fact? because thats a bold claim which im having a hard time taking your word for. most of the countries i see have continued to do more business with us since his election. mexico is helping us at this point which has never happened, china is coming up with a record trade deal with us and the world seems to be on bored finally knowing they can just bully america the way they have the past 8 years.
as for the last part, i totally agree with you. i do think our country is completely polarized but i have been to rallies on both sides and ive noticed that the hate is really coming from the left… dont get me wrong there are stupid people on both sides and i would chastise any violence coming from the right… but have you ever noticed that the left will not talk to anyone on the right without just calling them names or labeling them terrible things? they do not even walk to talk and that to me is a direct link to the media and what they are doing to the left. what im saying is i dont blame the polarization on trump i blame it on the media and i have this belief because when i say policies that have been enacted since he became president they like that but then you ask well what do you not like and they just copy paste what cnn wants them to say which is nothing….

    2. @Hayden H once again i think you are confused at who you are talking to. not being rude but i dont think you understand who i am or what i believe when it comes to politics…but no i would not vote for hillary at least i cant think of a plausible scenario that would make me vote for her at this point

    3. @adam guy – DAMAGE???
      (1) thousands of Kurdish men, WOMEN & CHILDREN murdered by the Turks because of tRump
      (2) he has made this country the laughing stock of the world
      (3) defiled the Office of the President
      (4) sold out our allies
      (5) sold us out to our enemies

need more?? There are plenty of other incidents

    4. @TAMMY JACKSON what makes you think that hes out of here? is it because thats what CNN is saying? you need to realize that CNN and MSNBC are literally trapped in a micro bubble where they can only see one thing, this is why they couldnt understand why trump won by a landslide in 2016.

    1. …along with the rest of the Republican party.
How then can defend these blatant, flagrant and contemptuous breaches of the law and Constitution just demonstrates they are not true Americans, just slimy opportunists and grifters with no courage, self respect or respect t for the people and country
I sincerely hope the GOP are whipped in a historical thrashing in 2020…i would love to see just a dozen or two Republican congresspersons in Jan 2021.

  3. At this point, we should pray for a miracle that a flying corncob is launched into the Trump pie hole, and becomes permanently jammed. 🤪😜

    1. @The Home Plate Special nothing more violent than the War Criminal In Chief. He is lower than the slime on a slug’s belly. He needs to be jailed for his murders

    2. No matter how bad he is… Its still a felony to say such a thing… Has people forgotten you cant say these things even in jest

  4. There’s *nothing* in American political history that *reeks of corruption* like what #45’s done the past two-plus years…even the “Teapot Dome” scandal *didn’t* involve *selling American allies out* to dictators. 🤨

    1. @Bruce Boring False. It wasn’t. It was stopped by the previous administration, according to official records and by Sworn testimony, under oath, in addition to statements by the new Prosecutor General, Lutsenko.

In January of 2016, the previous administration summoned Ukraine’s top prosecutors to the white house and ordered them to halt the investigation into Burisma, in addition to starting investigations into a political rival in Ukraine, the Party of Regents.
      thehill (dot) (com) /opinion/white-house/440730-how-the-obama-white-house-engaged-ukraine-to-give-russia-collusion
_”Kostiantyn Kulyk, deputy head of the Ukraine Prosecutor General’s international affairs office, said:
“shortly after Ukrainian authorities returned from the Washington meeting, there was a clear message about helping the Americans with the Party of the Regions case.” “Yes, there was a lot of talking about needing help and then the [black] ledger just appeared in public,” he recalled”_
The one prosecutor who refused to cease investigating was the one who was extorted by Joe Biden, on video. Viktor Shokin. Another fact is that his hand picked “Obama friendly” replacement never re-opened the case.
_Shokin’s sworn statement alleges that the Obama Administration was telling them “how to investigate, and whom to investigate,” _

    1. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas there will be more drama than he will be able to handle. I cannot wait for the trial in the Senate.
Trump brags that he put the Merry back into Christmas. The majority of Americans will have a very Merry Christmas indeed !
Polls today : 52 % of Americans polled want him impeached and removed

    2. @Squat Little Witch ….. His supporters just do not see Nancy was being very truthful when she mentioned Trump’s meltdown. Trump did say he would be come worried after 50% or greater was for the Impeachment. That already occured in all polls. Ever since, it is like he is doing things intentionally screwing up as well as his chief of staff yesterday. He does not seem like he wants the position yet he is maintaining his poker face to his Supporters at these Rallys.

    3. Hayden H
No, l do not want to see that happen. I voted for her in 2016, but her time has passed. I will vote for whoever wins the primary, but I am not thrilled about the candidates. Whoever wins the primary needs to pick a very strong and moderate running mate. That will be very important especially because the 3 top candidates have age issues. I am still hoping a strong candidate joins, if not too late.

    1. @Von Dutch – is that your only weapon?? tRump has too many problems of his own to be worrying about anything in Hollywood.

  5. Donald Trump take a day off bro
every single day 👉scandals, criminal misconducts, verbal assaults , 20 lies a day ..

    1. Logical Conservative typical trump supporter that don’t like to see the truth and will do anything for that clown show that’s in the White House. Open your eyes.

    1. @Hayden H No. 45 inherited a very low unemployment rate. The unemployment rate started dropping in late 2010 and continued to a low level that no. 45 inherited when he took over office. No.45 is trying to take credit for that….🤣

    1. Logical Conservative Don’t cry about it! When he becomes your ex president at least he will still be rich and racist 😂😁

    2. @Tone Liotta Nope. Not an argument. Rejected. Also, he’s not racist. Trump has done more to bring real wealth to poor black and minority communities than the last 3 presidents, combined, and I bet you absolutely hate that.

    3. @Tone Liotta .
Again. For what? He hasn’t done anything wrong. All of this crap is nothing but smoke and mirrors and you are falling for it Hook Line & Sinker. Open your eyes man!

    4. @Tone Liotta . Are you really okay with that? Do you realize what that would do in the future if we allowed a duly elected president to be removed for political reasons masked as some kind of criminal offense?
All just because he rocks the boat of the DC establishment that has been screwing you and me for Generations?

    1. I didnt do it, fake news.
Ok I did but everyone does it.
      Its not illegal.
Its illegal for everyone else but me.
      -all rethuglicans.

  6. Why isn’t Trump being held to the same standard that Barack Obama was held to during his time in The White House? Hmmm…?🤔

    1. If you Say you knew Obama had done impeachable and criminal offense, and yet didn’t sue or contacted a party with the means to sue, you are an accomplice and a criminal.

    2. @the crazy infidel munster for what,. If you don,t want to be called stupid, prove you are not.you jerks always seem to forget what one of yours, bush did to this country and want to blame it all on Obama. He had to clean up the mess.

    1. @Jaywalk 2020 – If “Melanie” was smart, she (and her recently-immigrated parents) would be ‘beating feet’ to a country with no extradition treaties… 😏

    1. You call that misshapen amalgam hive-mind of cockroaches, grease-sweat, and fried food crust in an oversized suit a _human_ form?
Well you’re more generous than me that’s for sure hahahah

    1. When you realize that 50% of the population is of below-average intelligence, it’s not too hard to understand.
Still, that 52% is going to grow a lot bigger as more of the criminal enterprise is revealed.

  7. I laugh every time I see a clip with Kevin McCarthy being so outraged over the impeachment inquiry.
Do not forget, McCarthy received money from Lev an Igor, Rudy’s pals.
