Dear Congressmen, the reason that we don’t want the government doing background checks is that whenever the government gets involved with ANYTHING, the government ALWAYS screws it up!!!!! If the government was HONEST with anything, we might trust them with background checks.

The issue here is that so long as the right to bear arms in the constitution isn’t amended in some form, there will always be people ready to take it to the absolute limit of what that freedom mean to procure the kinds of weapon that may not be reasonable to own unless you’re a member of an armed forces waging war. Start with a movement to clarify or modify the 2nd Amendment. It’s a law made by people, it can be changed by people. Though I don’t see it happening in this generation. The next one, perhaps.
