… while not our “allies” per se, (allies=equilateral defense), the Kurds have been faithful supporters of the US agenda and lost thousands of fighters in combat with the IS… we have deserted them before and apparently are doing it again…
It’s just yet another US retreat where we scream over our shoulder as we flee “Sorry allies, see ya, wouldn’t wanna be ya”. Just ask the S. Vietnamese how they felt watching the USA run like the wind screaming for our lives & flailing our arms about, leaving them to suffer the consequences of fighting alongside us.

How sure are you about Turks will begin to slaughter them? Turks occupied Afrin and few other border cities, did they slaughter them? NO. Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974, about few times larger land to protect Cypriot Turks, did they commit any war crime? NO. Turks showed their merits countless of times; open their border to protect and host over a million Kurds in the first Gulf war, 1991, and now hosts about 5+ million mostly Syrian refugees, etc. Turks want to secure their border, create a safe zone to relocate refugees and want to protect the unity of Syria. Sure they made some mistakes but they are no bigger than multiple wrongdoings of US and other invaders. People of Syria should and will decide about their future, hopefully it will be a secular democracy.

Invading a foreign nation is the original war crime, especially when doing so without a formal declaration of war.
What Turkey is doing is an ethnic cleansing.

Turkish intervention of Cyprus: Turkey has done it in order to prevent an ethnic cleansing and to protect their allies. It was their constitutional right since Cyprus treaty of 1960s.
