I have been thinking about the urban vs rural issues conflict.
It does not exist. It is a ploy to divide.
It is really a generational conflict. Rural dwellers are older on average, a demographic that votes ” conservative”. Or they think they are voting conservative. It has been fascist since 1980.
@Wisconsin Farmer not necessarily, i know many people from small rural towns and farms, it too is a mix. each person has a right to vote as they please. i am not a conservative but don’t judge, it isn’t my place. the only time we can is when someone is harming others, like the white supremacists and others who are violent. those actions simply cannot be tolerated. otherwise we are all just people trying to figure it all out. it is our differences as well as our similarities which make us Americans. one thing for sure, i will be very happy to see trump gone, along with his unamerican enablers and conspirators. they are violent and corrupt, they hate our country.
Congress returns to work and republicans will compete with each other for the nearest elevator to hide from uncomfortable questions.

I wonder what the history books will write about Trump. Right now we are living in an extremely partisan time with extremely different views, but it’s clear to me that he is one of the most unethical president at least in my lifetime.
For sure. Trump is destroying America’s institutions, it’s integrity and reputation in the world.
However Nixon subverted the Vietnam peace talks that LBJ had organised, in order to win the presidential election. This extended the Vietnam war by 5-6 years and the deaths and maiming of tens of thousands of Americans, and hundreds of thousands of citizens of SEAsia.
So in my book, as of now, I still think Nixon rates as worst president. But that’s really just on body count.
