Bloomberg Op-Ed: Warren Would Be Better For Economy Than Trump | Velshi & Ruhle | MSNBC

  1. Many millionaires and billionaires NOT entangled with government did NOT want these tax breaks because they knew it would screw u the poor and middle class.. The Disney heiress has tons of videos speaking out against doing the tax break before it happened… Bernie is a Socialist Democrat meaning he wants programs that fund and give more help to the poor and middle class instead of ask the SOCIALISM going to the rich and WE PAY FOR IT!!
Bernie wants equal Capitalism and Socialism.. If I’m not paying $1400mth in student loans, where do you think I would be spending it? If I’m not paying $832mth for Healthcare, where do you think I would be spending it? I can start a business, I can spend money at mom and pop businesses and help them grow and they will be able to pay their employees more.. This is Bernies plan, THE GROUND UP!!
    #BERNIE2020 ❤️

  2. There is a simple one page law that will vastly increase the amount of money in the federal coffers.
    1. Take the salary cap off the Social Security contribution.
    2. Include all income in the Social Security contribution.
This way the richest pay 6.2% of every dollar of their income, just like low wage workers do.

Then you can spend the next ten years kafuttzing over deductions and loopholes.

    1. That is 6.2% on the employer and employee and 12.4% on all self employed or passive income. There would never be a need to cut benefits, you could put the retirement age back at 65, and you could increase benefits for poor older Americans to lift them out of poverty. No one over 65 should end their life in abject poverty.

    2. The social security AIME bend points are 90%, 32%, 15%
If you make ~$70K/yr, only 15% of the money over that amount goes to increasing your SS retirement check.
Also would you remove the Cap on the size of a monthly check?

Husband makes $80K wife $60K = $140K, that’s above the Cap, tax them?

  3. Some of the poorest right wing republicans are the ones responsible for putting this corrupt two-timing billionaire into office. Just proves exactly how stupid that group really are.

    1. @Josef Here’s the actual numbers: Trump won 35% of college-educated white women and 56% of white women without college degrees. I hope you don’t think he did better with non-whites.

    2. @kray97
which goes to show 3 things —
      1. college educated people are stupid
      2. democrats dont care about the poor & non college educated.
      3. the democrat party is not the party of the “working man”.

“never turn yer back on the masses” – Karl Marx…..or maybe it was Groucho Marx.

    3. @guess who At least they tried to get someone into office that would advocate policies to make their lives better.

    1. Umm, that’s MISS Warren. No real man would put up with that old ugly snatch. “Mrs.” means respect, “Miss” means Loser.

  4. One of Warren’s bigly pushes
is to make Wall St. honest; honestly, no easy task.
By doing so, more average Americans will feel confident in investing in the Stock Market.

  5. This sounds like what happened preceding the French Revolution. The Rich avoided paying taxes.Off With Their Heads!!!

    1. @Karen Byrd
the protestors in Hong Kong are telling you that they dont want socialism & totalitarian government.
& that’s what the democrats want to give you.

    2. @Jenn smith The wealthy have their loopholes. Those loopholes are conspiratorial machinations which the middle class and working class do NOT have at their disposal. That’s the real problem. It’s about fairness. The numbers are available. It’s not a fantasy.

    3. @Pontiac Soviro
loopholes — if you have no business, you can’t deduct business expenses….make sense?
the democrats should change the tax laws…..how many bills have Bernie, Pocahontas, Harris, Pelosi, AOC, etc, introduced to close tax loopholes?
      oh — zero.
don’t be fooled, democrats get tons of money from the wealthy, they’re not gonna change the laws.

    4. Jenn smith Wrong! They don’t want a authoritarian government that just happens to be communist! Check out all the socialists democratic governments in North Western Europe all socialists all doing well, all universal healthcare, decent education systems I could go on. Why are brainwashed Americans so fearful of socialism, check out all your state systems all paid by taxpayers. You just couldn’t capitalise them, you would end up in a worse position, at the mercy of some rich corporation paying more for your transport, roads etc.,

    1. Economy loves nothing more than stability in politics and global trade.
Enter Trump, being about NOT THAT. Out of the clowncar posse running for republican nomination in 2015/16 he was the worst choice if you wanted long term economic growth.

  6. Just reminds me of a question I’ve had for awhile: why do people in the poorest red states, all republican, keep voting for the GOP when they never benefit?

  7. I said it! Elizabeth Warren is the best Bet for us Americans!! She Always has had a History of Defending the Majority of Americans!! Pro American!!!

    1. Her tax plan won’t work though. Companies already don’t declare profit and the idea of wealth is so hard to put a number on that it will have so many loopholes. None of her taxes will actually be payed. They are attempts to win over Bernie supports, that’s all

  8. It’s disgusting…. a billionaire pays less tax than me!!!! …its so unfair…..it makes me feel sick!

    1. @antony michael $$98K-$24K std deduction-$4K (15% SS exemption) = $70K, 4 adopted Kids = $8K child tax credit, =$0 taxes
~$100K with 4 Kids and No taxes.
      Are you paying taxes?

  9. Seriously, I could throw a dart out the window and HIT someone who would be better than that orange FRAUD.

  10. Warren simply wants to return to a fairer tax structure, more affordable secondary education and stronger workers collective bargaining power. You, know, kinda like the 1950s without segregation. She must be absolutely insane, right?
