Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders called the Iowa Democratic caucus an "embarrassment" and a "disgrace" after party officials were unable to release any votes at all, due to technical issues.

  1. Bernie needs to say “I’m going to give every American the same exact health insurance that members of Congress currently get ” and say it over and over again.

    1. 45 years ago, that wasn’t that long after the shift in the rich beginning to pay far less taxes then they had paid 25 years before 1974. He saw when the rich paid their fair share, and now we see them pay little to nothing.

    1. @Shawn and? I’d rather we have Trump than subsidize the laziness of the liars losers deadbeats dropouts druggies fat people illegals and socialists

    2. @65 TossPowerTrap He represents the vast majority of the electorate. This is why I am grateful our founders had the foresight to make us a republic and not a democracy.

    1. cannot wait for Bernie presidency – moratorium on deportations, tax the rich… I have no doubt the economy tanks under Sanders. at which point white and wealthy people will be blamed by Sanders and his supporters. I see the US becoming the next south africa if Sanders is elected

    1. William Loudermilk after Trump was elected a reporter asked Bernie if he was for open borders and he said, “No way, our country couldn’t support totally open borders.”

    1. MyNameIsBucket 🤣 Honestly what you said is not even a joke. I started doing this but I had to stop because I was donating way too much.

Did u see how embarrassed tapper looked when Bernie said “when was that”
It surprises me how these clowns call themselves journalists

    2. He likes to back and say he was right about Vietnam, no reason explained. He is a conscientious objector..He only objects to serving unless he’s the Commander in Chief. You know he has it all figured out but he ain’t gonna tell you how it all works until he’s elected.

    3. So if someone was making racist comments and was pro Nazi 45 years ago and refused to answer that would be okay right? Notice how he refused to answer such a simple question, and how he dodged the dark money his charity has taken in?
These are legitimate questions about his beliefs that he refuses to answer, yet he turns around and says I have been fighting for America for 45 years and that is okay. He is part of the problem just like every other millionaire do nothing politician that has been in office for 30 years living the good life off the working class with a $174,000 a year salary.

    1. Diana “I like free birthday parties. Vote for me.” Socialism is a plague and the victims are the innocent workers. You are a prolific fool if you vote for Sanders.

    2. @65 TossPowerTrap “Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism! Socialism!”
You’ve worn out and burned up the effect of that word with everyone but Chris Matthews. But keep pretending you’re Joe McCarthy, keep pretending it works to beat that dead horse.
See where that gets you. Because it won’t keep the White House and Senate for you. You’re losing those.

    1. @Andrew Frewen Tough questions don’t bother me. What bothers me is they won’t ask someone like Biden or HIllary anything contreversial, and we all know there is plenty. Why only go after Bernie?

    2. It wasn’t even that extreme in 1974. The top marginal tax rate was 70% in 1974. FDR passed a “maximum wage” in the 1940s which was in effect a 94% top marginal tax rate, about a third higher than the rate was in the 1970s. Right now Sanders is proposing a 54% top marginal tax rate, a ~40% increase from the current of around 38%. Neither case is that radical in the historical context, Jake Tapper is just trying to scare low information voters.

    3. @Phil I guess thats the nature of the mainstream media. Bernie Sanders is a threat so they need to try and paint him as extreme and unelectable. I actually find it pretty funny how on one hand he’s being asked how he’s going to pay for health care and on the other hand his plan to tax the big corps. Isn’t this self explanatory?… Coming from an Australian, I can tell you now that Bernie’s policies are not at all extreme and it seems that more people are wise to this fact. I admire Bernie Sanders for sticking to his policy when pressed by the media.

  2. Ever notice how when CNN interviews Bernie, they always give a “serious” and “depressing expression” on listening to him, but if it’s Pete, then they’re so ecstatic!

  3. Like how stupid do they think there viewers are that they’re literally going on about what he said in the seventies

    1. Am I wrong or was there not effectively an income cap in this country in the Eisenhower Era? The top marginal tax rate was 90 percent on basically anything more than 2.5 million in today’s dollars so sort of there was a cap. That’s how I would have answered this question.

    2. @Toons on Strings Why are Yangbangers so hostile towards Bernie Sanders? It’s overwhelmingly likely that Yang will drop out and endorse him. If you cared about the issues AT ALL you wouldn’t be attacking the supporters of the only other anti-corruption candidate.

    1. @David Watermeyer please say this was sarcasm… I hate to think we live in a world where literally anyone would think something that crazy

    2. Yes Brandin I was very much joking. Otherwise I’d have to be a psychotic sociopath. But since your president and followers and perhaps a great number of DNC personnel behave like such I suppose you could have thought I was serious.
Seems that Americans no longer have any sense of humour. It’s miserable to say the least.
For people like Trump and to so-called Christians who support him (and many on Wall street) capitalism is literally God.
All that matters to them is that you have good business skills and that all of society should be organized around that principle when in fact that’s simply one quality among human qualities the highest of which is love.
      All good things.

  4. The Democrats rigged their own election – and still lost.
Every time Bernie gets stabbedf in the back, he grows more popular.

    1. @BURN YOUR COUCH no it will not! Y’all are tripping for no reason lol! Bernie won Iowa and he’s winning in New Hampshire!

    2. ftobie84 I never said he was cheated? All I’m saying is whether it’s Mrs. Clinton attacking him in the press, or candidates taking advantage of a disastrous political process to run a false narrative, Bernie bounces back better then before. I really do believe this is his time.

    3. @yrureadingthisname well I feel like all the candidates is attacking each other and I don’t feel that Hillary was attacking Bernie

  5. To put this into perspective:
A multi-billion-dollar network of journalists and investigators went digging for controversial statements Bernie has made, and the one they thought was good enough to bring up on air came from *the year Alex Jones was born.*

    1. Every time commie Bernie opens his mouth the hate for this country spews out, that why he lost Iowa to pickle pete

    1. I’m a Bernie Bro, and I would be proud to walk with the Yang Gang, and proud to have the Yang Gang walk with me.

  6. Come on Jake! You’re a better journalist than this…please try to keep the questions relevant…the 1970’s…sheesh!
