Policy is what counts. All this other rubbish is just a distraction.
FDR worked from a wheelchair. Joe Biden has had 2 brain aneurysms.
Bernie said at the beginning of the campaign that he’ll pick a younger VP.
So who cares whether he has a stent or not?

Bernie has my vote when the time comes. This is more than likely a last chance to get a person in the white house that has a long and proven record of fighting for the everyday american. Cm-on folks don’t be blinded by all the crap that’s spewed by the media and our current president virtually on an hour by hour basis. Get a man in the office that’s gonna work for you and not his wallet.

  3. Bernie not being made fun of by CNN? Yep Gump broke reality.

  4. This man is a legend. Fighting for the people consistently for more than 50 years.

    • Bernie collected silver spoon welfare for a lifetime and accomplished absolutely nothing in his entire career. Ever. Laziest politician in D.C.

@Ethan Ash *** Bernie Sanders has a 100% chance of being the Democratic Nominee for President ***
Not according to his CARDIOLOGIST… he has a 100% CHANCE of ending up in a COFFIN trying to run the GAUNTLET of another PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN….

Bernie deserves to change the country for better than being run by criminals

  6. For this wonderful man to have a heart attack and come back like nothing happened makes him in my book even more fit to be president

    • Larry Scary you don’t know what communism is you buffoon.

    • CapanCrunch ! WHAT??? How do you expect him to be a president if he is restricted so much. we would want a president to travel to different countries to make deals for his WHOLE presidency. We need a hands on president and he would not be able to handle one of the most stressful jobs in the nation for to long. We all need to ACTUALLY think that this is not a joke, being the president of one of the greatest nations in the world. Politicians are not a hands on working class.

@Larry Scary I bet you support corporate socialist Trump.

  7. the comments give me so much hope. bernie supporters are sweethearts just like him. also it’s important to look at some setbacks as making us stronger, not weaker. go bernie!!

    • @Ethan Ash hahahahaaaa thanks I needed a good laugh

    • You spelled the Communist wrong

This isn’t a “setback” this is a physical weakness that has been temporarily fixed. He didn’t fall and break his arm he had a heart attack, and now you loons wanna put him in one of the most stressful positions in the country. I promise this man will die from health issues if he gets elected.

    • Daniel Schaeffer | October 11, 2019 at 7:51 AM | Reply

I’ve read plenty of comments from Bernie supporters that are really nasty — toward Biden and even Warren. This isn’t a movement. It’s more of a cult.

    • @Daniel Schaeffer I’ve been told some really racist things from Biden supporters. Warren supporters have celebrated Bernie’s heart attack. Mean people are everywhere. It’s not about a cult, it’s about a political movement. The same movement that gave us AOC

  8. Getting a stent isn’t a huge deal. I have one and I’m only 40. Got it at 37. It’s quick and swift recovery. Hope he takes time to rest up. 🥰

    • @fem wynn That was the real deal that they put in this walking dead man’s heart

    • @Matt Miller right that about dead 78.

    • Now the real question what did it cost in premiums. Copays. And access fees.

    • Amelia Louisa
      Omg, how did that happen?
      Stress? Overweight?
Sorry to ask so bluntly but I’m in my mid-30s and I’m 102 kilos now and a smoker.
Feel healthy and fit, but who knows..
      Hope you’ll be doing alright.

    • @Roman00 It’s okay to ask lol. I had a blood clot. Causes by high cholesterol that I didn’t know I had. I’m relatively healthy. 5’7, 160 pounds, female. My family has a history of heart disease so that could have been a factor too.

  9. I am still voting for you Bernie, regardless of how CNN and others will try spin this health event into something so negative; I had a Heart attack in my late 30’s, I am almost sixty now.

@Censored Account you don’t know what discord is, but you’re going to “educate” me? Ooookay then. Do you realize you’ve committed two logical fallacies since we started this conversation, and I could have ruined your argument by pointing out either of them?

My “friend” wouldn’t “encourage you to write bernie’s name into the final ballot on election day.”

    • Logical Conservative | October 11, 2019 at 12:33 PM | Reply

@Censored Account Yes. They would. If all the conservatives vote for Trump, but half of the hold-out Leftists vote for Bernie, it divides the vote, and Trump wins. Duh.

      @Logical Conservative
And as for effective, I have facts at my disposal with which to refute the lies of the left. I can write entire SAGAS filled with facts, but they usually get shadowbanned. If they somehow miraculously post without being shadowbanned, idiots will most certainly resort to deflection, projection, strawmanning, and/or insults. It’s easier to post articles that all can see. If they attack the sources I cite, I can readily defend those as well.

  10. I have waited my entire life for this very leader. At this point in this countries history, it is embarrassing that other candidates don’t have the maturity and the gravitas to know when to put down their own petty egos and do the right thing – for their country rather than their careers. Sad.

    • @Progressive Humanist I like Warren and would vote for her over any of the useless establishment candidates any day, but from one progressive to another, what makes her more progressive than Bernie? I take genuine concern with her defence budget votes; her preference of means-tested policies over one-and-done ones (Trump and Brexit show that people like simple nowadays, e.g. eliminating _all_ student and medical debt, etc.); her iffy support of Medicare for All; and, finally, her statement about going back to taking big money donations after the primaries (at least for DNC events if not her own, as she recently stated). Ultimately, I think she’s at her best when she tells her Democratic advisers to shut up and goes with her gut, but this seems to be a challenge for her as of late.

I don’t think Bernie’s running on his ego; he’s running because he believes he’s got the best chance at winning and thus finally getting the policies implemented that the vast majority of the country support, which he intends to accomplish by getting out the progressive vote and flipping the Senate, as well as by campaigning against/primary-ing those who won’t get on board with the will of the people. And the polling backs this up: For reasons I as a middle-class political junkie don’t entirely understand, the second choice of Biden-leaning Democrats is Bernie – and vice versa too. Additionally, Bernie’s the most popular/favourable politician in the country, which leads me to believe he’d have the most appeal amongst ambivalent and independent voters when it comes to the general election. Again, I support Warren in addition to Bernie when I can, but his remarkable ideological consistency throughout the decades, unwavering focus on the issues and strong appeal are really what make him my favourite. That, and he definitely seems like the INFJ I can only hope to be when I’m older.

    • Warren, Tulsi, Kamala, Yang, Joe, Budiwatsit et.al SHAME ON YOU!.

    • @lolazal1 Seriously. But remember: the establishment won’t “give it” to us…Never forget that.
Tell the young voters to do more than just talk about “it.” Because we have to “take it” from them.
Use your time and social media and raw feet on the pavement power to get out and register NEW voters. We don’t do that – and on Nov. 9 2020 you will have one of the saddest days of your, and live with regret the rest of your/our lives..

    • @lolazal1 It’s early, but here’s my prediction. Tulsi stays strong in the mix of things…and then Sanders lays down the hammer and announces (and she accepts) his choice for VP. That happens and it’s goodbye Warren….

    • What free stuff are you people talking about? Medicare isn’t free , I pay for it with every paycheck . Why is it wrong to say I want to get what I PAY for?

  11. For some reason I feel Bernie Sanders sounds real and trueful

  12. Man they really ask a lot of questions about this heart attack, let’s talk more about ending corruption in Washington.

    • @Open your Eyes BULLSHIT. I’ve personally witnessed friends pay every tax that American citizens pay, not to mention everyday taxes on goods, gas, etc. And they never get to collect IF they decide to retire. So sick of that bullshit argument. If all the undocumented left in droves, right now, this country would completely collapse economically. People really need to stop believing what they hear & go get to know what REALLY happens. And they do not get to go on Medicaid, SSI, etc. The only one I knew of getting Medicaid, was when she was pregnant, the baby was taken care of… her care ended as soon as she gave birth. Undocumented women are a very tiny % of the population, and she worked & paid taxes. I’m not saying it’s ‘right’ to do things the way some do, but to say they all leech off the system they allegedly don’t pay into, is absolutely untrue. It may be under a dead person’s SS#, but so what… they can never collect from it. Thank goodness for them doing it, otherwise all these ppl on SSI or SSDI wouldn’t be getting monthly checks bc they have back pain or they are “bipolar”… gimme a break. Get out & get to know people who aren’t in your bubble. Believe me, they pay in more than they get back. You should THANK THEM, not run them out. I’m all for border protection & LEGALLY EMIGRATING, but the ones who are here need some sort of protection, as I highly doubt you’re out doing hard, manual labor like roofing or picking our agricultural harvests. Regardless, we need to halt illegal immigration & deal with what we have, as I do believe in borders, unlike most on the right think ppl like me (Independent) don’t believe in emigrating legally – I believe in doing it the “right way”… but uprooting families here who are contributing & helping hold up our economy, is one of the DUMBEST things that has been done & to continue. We’re only hurting ourselves.

If I had but physically seen it myself, I may think differently, but I’ve seen MANY illegal immigrants paying all taxes, some more than others, but we need to fix things the way they are, not spend more money booting them, especially the younger generations… their kids stay & without mom & dad paying for them, guess who will be taking care of them bc THEY ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS? And they’re not taking American jobs, they’re ACCEPTING American jobs that no Americans will do! When will people understand all of this? It’s simple logic, reasoning & being rational.

And no, I don’t watch cable news, but yes I did watch this interview with Bernie. So, ppl need to start some new insults & catchphrases regarding Independent thinkers & scholars. We’re not dumb.

Bring on the hate 🙄 … from the typical person who _doesn’t watch CNN_ 🤣

    • @Nikolai Collushnikov I take it you have none. But then again, you’re not allowed such privileges there are ya, you Putin putz.

    • @w robbins could be. Yet there are a lot of home-grown ignorant and hateful people. It’s the only reason Trump came close to getting 50% of the popular vote. That and many people didn’t actually vote.

After the way Bernie went after the corruption and chicanery in the D.N.C. and stood for his principles in 2016, we should not wonder who is principled enough to clean up Washington.

  13. The Progressive Christian | October 10, 2019 at 11:11 PM | Reply

He didn’t misspeak, you guys misquoted/skewed what he said. He’s merely repeating EXACTLY what he said yesterday.

    • Bernie himself said he misspoke. He said he didn’t intend to say the words “slow down,” specifically.

    • Please do watch this clip. It is a must watch to see why CNN is so pathetic in smearing Bernie.

    • The Progressive Christian | October 11, 2019 at 5:57 AM | Reply

@Mulinaster Why do you suppose he said that given the thrust of his statement was that by definition doing 2 rallies instead of 4 is slowing down? Because the media wants to dovetail the age issue with this “heart attack”. I have 8 stents due to genetic predispositions for blockage and I work out at the gym 3 times a week. He’s placating the biased media because they’re constantly smearing or ignoring him. CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC are all corporate owned. And you can tell they way they’re out to kill his campaign any way they can.

  14. Bernie is a good man and will make a great president. [Edit] one that we can be PROUD of.

  17. My Dad had a far more serious heart attack, had several stents installed & a valve replaced & lived another 35 years. I’ve been tired for a year so I had heart tests. They found an “ascending aortic aneurism” but said that they would just keep an eye on it, and to take baby aspirin every day. #PresidentBernie2020

    • Oh my…if it’s alright to ask, what other symptoms were you having?

My friend’s been sluggish for years now – he’s also told me his heart skips beats: sometimes days go on without any symptoms whatsoever.

Plus, his heart feels like it gets warmer than normal, he says…it feels like it is burning sometimes. At times his heart gets an abrupt, painful jolt that for a nanosecond reverberates through out his body; it makes him lose consciousness for that nanosecond, he says. 😞

He’s gone to the clinic and hospital for a bunch of tests but the doctors find “nothing”.

And no, it’s not heartburn either. He’s strong-minded so I know it’s not in his head.

Could you please expand on your symptoms – it might be of great help for my friend.

      Thanks 🤗👍🍻🍻🍻

  18. g’damn bernie. when i think you hit the top you get over it. giving true, sane, helpful medical advice instead of talking about politics, let alone abusing it for political gain?
you impress me, dude, and that takes a real act of selfless love and compassion to do.
americans do not deserve you. come to europe. we are listening to you.

  19. #Bernie2020 🇺🇸🇺🇸 his heart attack doesn’t effect my vote or my family and friends votes.. he’s a honest leader with true integrity. Growing up I knew of MLK, JFK, FDR, RFK, it’s time to finish the torch these guys started!!! It’s time to make Bernie a leader, a leader than can involve everyone, Republicans, Democrats, & independents. We can do this! We are all Americans 🇺🇸❤️
