@Gary Stasiuk – They quit because the writing was on the wall for them. Trump erred in hiring them, not having the lengthy inside political history/experience nor the aid of a political machine like the Party (having defied the Establishment), to prudently hire a well vetted Cabinet because he was flying by the seat of his pants.
But Tillerson and Kelly both knew enough about themselves and Trump, to know that they were headed for trouble, and yet, their own vanity led them into those appointments.
Not the most noble move, but good for Haley nevertheless. It’s an important revelation, and one that many of us could stand to factor in to a greater equation.

Nikki Haley is a staunch Trumpist, who realised early the Trump Train might de-rail, so she jumped off.
Now she, far less subtly than she thinks, presents herself to Trumpists as a kind of Trump Light: Trump’s agenda but without the blatant corruption and ever increasing crazyness. Even if Trump isn’t impeached, his popularity will take a huge hit and a re-election isn’t as guaranteed as Trump says it is. So enter Nikki Haley for President.
Trump simply isn’t smart enough to see Haley’s plan for what it really is and will see it as praise for him from one of his trusted followers.

Robby I actually agree with her. They should just resign. If they would just resign and call him out, maybe that would make a difference. Instead both of them just resigned and stayed silent.
I started to think positive things about her until this. Now, it seems that she is just another politician out for themselves. She took an oath like everyone else on doing the job for the good of the United States. She obviously did very little in adhering to that oath and only focused on her career. Her statement about the Secretary of State and Security Advisor is after the fact, so saying that they approached her then seems unverifiable and only an accusation. Unless she can prove that statement and that their actions actually were wrong. If their actions saved the country and President from doing something illegal, immoral, unconstitutional, or adverse to his standing as a world leader, then she would have been supporting the wrong action. I tend to think her coming out and saying things now is just as hypercritical as she accuses them of being. Why now? Is it only for selling her book and enhance a future political career? I’ll remember this the next time, I see her running for office. She lost my vote.
