@Dylan New I’d like to think of myself as a person of principles. This keeps me away from the Republican party. I also don’t make over 100k a year so their fiscal policies do nothing for me. As for the party to end slavery, there was no benevolence in that act. They just wanted to secure the union by economically crippling the South. So to call them humanitarians would be foolish. Veterans rights, I’m not a veteran. And they have to give the soldiers incentives for fighting in such deeply unpopular and pointless wars such as the Kuwait one, Iraq and Afghanistan. American lives lost and PTSD were the only things gained from those particular quagmires. After these wars, a power vaccumm was left and thus came the birth of AL Qaeda. Also, were it not for the Republicans pressing the containment issue so much, there would of never been CIA sent to Afghanistan to train Bin Laden against the Russians. Of course had he not of been trained…hypothetically, there would be no 9-11. Which was also brought about due to Republican interference in the middle east for the distinct reason of acquiring/stealing/liberating crude oil.
The Republicans under Reagan destroyed state run mental health care facilities and sent people who had deep seated menatal issues out into the streets without proper care.
Trump reformed and rebranded the kkk. White hoods changed to red hats.

@Rasberry Beret sure, there’s compassion in the world; I’ve no doubt about that, but the issues regarding gun possession: even if there was a solution to gun crime; because of the threat to the wealth of all those people associated with gun sales…the government wouldn’t allow the solution guidelines to be followed if it meant, these people’s businesses being affected by the guidelines. This fact has nothing to do with whether I’m a communist or not; just that it’s sad that these shootings cause huge levels of grief and the conditions that lead to them intensify rather than diminish, as a result of the need to defend against future attacks.
