  1. What’s the point of these polls? How can average man or woman assess someone’s performance if the performance metrics aren’t known to the common man or woman. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡―πŸ‡²πŸ‡―πŸ‡²πŸ‡―πŸ‡²

  2. Stealing from the PEOPLE is Illegal! Politrictians steal the money πŸ’° and live like kings. Power to the People πŸ™πŸΏ

  3. It looks like the Jamaican government deah disrespect the hard working, law abiding citizens people who are less fortunate. I bet! If it was inna the tourist area, things would have been rectified long time ago. My people, you have the power to achieve your objectives, you just have to pull your strength together and stand firm in the liberty in which God, has set you fee.

    1. This one is not the first blockage. Just the first time TVJ reported it. They blocked and protested while school was closed too.

    1. @Red Button Journal Well depends on how the contracts were drafted. There maybe first installment, second installment and so on. Have the contractors received their instalments up-date?

    2. @bca Smith Good point. Have you been by there today? They’ve done more work today than than they’d done all summer. I’m hopeful they keep it up.

  4. TVJ needs to report on the 25km they haven’t even started fixing from Leith Hall to Portland Parish. At this speed it will take until 2050 to finish the coastal road improvement project. Report about that too please.

  5. The problem with this project is CHEC was forced to hire Jamaican contractors to do the job. These contractors are in way over their head they are not capable of projects like this. They can put in driveways and parking lots but not this type of project. I live east of portie and I tell you I never see such foolishness and incompetence in all my life. Any old part of the road not work on yet they won’t fix so pot holes so big the swallow your car. This is plain and simple stupidity. Because of the Jamaican contractors the corruption is mind boggling. All the foreigners who witnessed this construction are just shaking their heads this makes Jamaica look really bad. These people go back to their countries and tell their friends what they saw and this hurts tourism bad. The badmind that comes from this will surely hurt this little country.

    1. The original funds allocated for the St.Thomas road was reallocated to the North Coast.

Contractors: Have the contractors been paid by government for the works done already?

Corruption: Corruption permeates throughout our society at all levels of society, however many would appear to have immunity from prosecution.

Do not blame the people, it is our governance which is faulty.

  6. Pandemonium as usual. There must be another word that can be used at some point. But seriously the roads should be fixed.

  7. For Years I’ve seen these roads in deplorable condition as a youth visiting family in St. Thomas and I’m 40 now. all now it’s the same , Big Promises by the Government and they can’t even deliver. Uprise and demonstrate like Father Bogle βœŠπŸΏβ€¦

  8. The people them can’t take it no more, it is sickening how the governments treats the people of Jamaica especially African people in certain community, all these so called governments care about is there pockets and the so call queen of England.
