Syria’s autocratic Bashar Al Assad visibly is in hot soup following Arab League latest move has decided to suspend Syria’s membership until Assad stop prosecuting civilians, who had been demonstrating against his rogue regime. The Arab League has also threatened Syria of facing imposing sanctions, if Bashar Al Assad regime will not immediately stop brutalities of the citizen of the country. It may be mentioned here that, Assad is continuing to murder civilians by using the armed forces of Syria for months, as the country is waking up against the rogue administration.
The Arab League approved on Saturday a sweeping package of measures censuring Syria, clearing the way for a significant escalation of international pressure against President Bashar Assad and deepening the isolation of his increasingly embattled government. The 22-member regional body said it would suspend Syria’s membership, impose sanctions and seek U.N. help unless the Syrian government stops using violence to suppress the country’s 8-month-old uprising. At least 3,500 civilians have died in the crackdown, according to the United Nations.
The Arab League also summoned opposition leaders to a meeting within the next three days to formulate “a unified view of the coming transitional period,” offering the clearest indication yet the region is moving closer to the Obama administration position that he should step down.
The unexpectedly severe measures suggested that Arab states are already starting to plan for a post-Assad era. That will in turn increase pressure on other powers that have so far refrained from taking action against Syria, notably Russia, China and Turkey, opening the door to the kind of international consensus on Syria that the United States has been seeking to build, analysts said.
“This is a diplomatic game-changer,” said Salman Shaikh, director of the Brookings Doha Center in Qatar. “It’s a significant moment that foretells greater international isolation and pressure on the Assad regime.”
President Obama issued a statement hailing the Arab move as evidence of “the increasing diplomatic isolation of a regime that has systematically violated human rights.”
The resolution adopted at an emergency meeting in Cairo represented a rare display of Arab solidarity against a fellow regional power, marking only the third time a nation has been suspended. Egypt was ejected from 1979 to 1989 for signing a peace treaty with Israel, and Libya was suspended in March after the uprising there.
Just two countries voted against the measures, Yemen and Lebanon, with Iraq abstaining, demonstrating the extent of Syria’s isolation in the Arab world. The sanctions will be discussed at a ministerial meeting in the coming days, and the league said it would consider granting recognition to the Syrian National Council, an umbrella opposition body that has struggled to be accepted by the international community.
It is well anticipated now that the dictatorial Assad regime is about to fall in course of weeks, and it will prove to the world again, following ouster of Ben Ali, Hosni Mubarak and Muammar Al Gaddafi that, no dictator in the world can finally survive once the citizen wakes up in protest of state level anarchy, corruption, nepotism and worst form of governance.
While Bashar Al Assad’s farewell whistle is blowing very loud, there is also hint in the international media about possible downfall of the Ahmadinejad regime in Iran, which also has already transformed Iran into a country wracked under the clutches of nasty Mullahs and Sharia law. Though the ‘Jasmine Revolution’ broke out in Iran months back, it has not yet been able to reach to the optimum intensity as the state machinery is continuing to apply numerous forms of repressive methods on the citizen of the country.
Since establishment of the rogue Sharia administration in Iran, the country has witnessed limitless sufferings of the civilians as well as country’s economy has been greatly robbed off by certain section of influential Mullahs and their repressive regiment named ‘Revolutionary Guards’. In Iran, a large segment of economic and commercial establishments are already grabbed by the Revolutionary Guards, which is not only infamous for murdering innocent civilians, but also are championing in raping thousands of Iranian females both inside and outside prisons. Iranian regime has visibly granted license to members of this regiment as well as prison guards in treating the political opponents and especially the females of the country as mere sub-human beings.
While nefarious acts are continuing in some of the Arab nations, corruption, nepotism, oppression and repression of civilians as well as total rogue administration in a country in Eastern Caribbean has already started trigging attention of the international media.
Rosevelt Skerrit, the 39-year old multi-billionaire Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, is the hitting news media for his rogue governance. Roosevelt Skerrit became Prime Minister after the death of Pierre Charles in January 2004. At the time of Pierre Charles’ death, Roosevelt Skerrit was a member of parliament for the Vieille Case constituency, a position he had held since his election in February 2000. In addition to being the Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit also serves as Minister for Finance, Minister for Foreign Affairs and as the political leader of the Dominica Labor Party.
Skerrit is already in political controversy as he was holding dual citizenship [of France and Dominica], when he was elected in the general election in 2009. According to Constitutional Provisions of Dominica, any person violating constitutional provisions is liable of imprisonment and financial penalty. But, Roosevelt Skerrit has been able to some how avert such legal consequences as he controls country’s judicial system and maintains an attorney named Anthony Astaphan [born of Syrian/Lebanese parentage], as his “most obedient” lap-dog.
Since he became Prime Minister of Dominica in 2009, Roosevelt Skerrit started establishing “closer ties” with Iran, Venezuela and Libya. He is a personal friend of one of Muammar Al Gaddafi’s sons and the Libya’s former dictator used to consider Skerrit as “one of his sons”. It is rumored that Gaddafi family has put a huge amount of their black money with Skerrit, which the Dominica’s rogue politician has invested in building his multi-billion dollar financial conglomerate just within the span of five odd years. It is not only unusual but very surprising to note that, Roosevelt Skerrit acquires huge wealth in a very short time, in a country like Dominica, which is frequently affected by natural disasters and the economic lives of the civilians are still at an alarming level, especially after country’s sole economic backbone of banana industry suffered huge setback.
Roosevelt Skerrit made numerous trips to France both by using his Dominica passport as well as that of France, where he, on a number of occasions, spent “exclusive times” with his old friend, son of Muammar Gaddafi. As a gesture of gratitude towards Gaddafi, Skerrit violently reacted when Libya was attacked by NATIO forces and he was even considering giving political refuge to Gaddafi and his family.
Additionally, Roosevelt Skerrit maintains closer ties with the Ahmadinejad regime and continues to take various “favors” from this notorious Mullah regime in Iran. It may be mentioned here that, Iranian regime uses several rogue administration in the world in continuing its various forms of illegal activities as well as anti-West and anti-US hostilities. Iran also is accused of smuggling arms and nuclear weapons as well as counterfeit US currencies to various nations through the cooperation of such rogue state machineries in the world.
He [Skerrit] also has extensive connections with various influential figures in United Arab Emirates [Dubai]. It may be mentioned here that, dangerous mafia don Dawood Ibrahim, who is at the RED wanted list of most of the law enforcing agencies in the world is allegedly using the land of UAE as one of his many safe shelters. Dawood’s daughters and son-in-laws reportedly got citizenship in Dominica along with a large number of absconding criminals from India.
Due to rogue governance, Dominica in recent years have turned into the “best favorite” transit point of notorious criminals and Jihadist, who are buying citizenship of this country with the ulterior goal of entering the West and the United States.
Washington as well as other Capitals in the West needs to take up the case of Roosevelt Skerrit and his rogue administration in Dominica forthwith, for the sake of global security and peace. Activities of Skerrit and his cronies also should come under microscope of international media. It may be mentioned here that, Skerrit was compelled to sack Dominica’s deputy prime minister for his alleged connection with 419 Nigerian scams. But, quickly after such actions, Skerrit reinstated the man into another important office of the government, as gesture of “friendship”. Dominica has visibly turned into a new safe-haven of international mafias as well as criminal and jihadist outfits.
